Was it not a minute's applause? I turned on just before and people were applauding, but it could have been the applause after the minute was over.

 

Started off as a minutes silence but as that wasn't getting observed properly people took it upon themselves to applaud

Weird thread. This isn't the only football discussion forum on the internet (thank god). When the split from the BBC happened, people went off in all kinds of different directions.

I agree with you that it should have been a minute's applause. Not only because it was a late kick-off, but due to the circumstances it would have been more appropriate. Applause to celebrate a person's career/life, silence to remember a tragedy.

 

Yeah you usually turn a TV on in order to use it.

If it's not a problem then you wouldn't have made a topic whinging about it and continued to do so throughout. There aren't many Chelsea fans on this forum and so there's a small chance there will be a match topic and even less that there will be many posts in it. A few weeks back I saw one made and it was mainly the TC posting in them. There are Chelsea forums which have a match thread for every game. Here are a couple that I know of:

You can create an account and post in the match topics there if you like as this is obviously a big deal for you. Not sure why I'm even having to defend not having or posting in a match topic as there's a greater chance of being a plastic if you do.
