The best offensive team lost. We saw here why Arsenal's defence is one of the league's best so far this season.

You should've been down to 9 men... so no.

Didn't expect our weakened side to triumph. So pleased.

Third round, Tottenham (5th in table). Fifth round, Liverpool (4th in table). Sixth round, Everton (6th in table). If we beat them? Very possibly Manchester City (3rd in table).

    Geez.

I think you're confusing Monreal's stamp on Allen with someone else.

Anyway, it was an enjoyable game. Fabianksi was unreal today, won you the game.

I really hope we don't rest players for Everton, they're bound to come flying at us again like in the league game

SkyLarker is such a weirdo. What man follows another poster around negatively repping him? Scouse fans are some strange fellows.

We, of all people, have come to realise that if you didn't win the game over 90 minutes, you didn't deserve to win, and everything else is just an excuse.
Fab had a good game, as has been the usual recently, will be a shame to see him go. Quitwly impressed with Sanogo, all things considered

Considering we rested so many players I was concerned whether we would get the result but we played really well. Thought the ref made some poor decisions both ways. We took our chances and they didn't. I thought we defended better than they did and overall I think we deserved the win, though it was a close game.

Sanogo had a great game, really pleased to see him look so good in such an important game. He was very highly rated before he came to us and injuries have meant we haven't seen what he is capable of. I hope he can get a few more opportunities this season.

Ozil was quality again today, same as against utd. I enjoy watching him play, the way he passes the ball and the way he controls it at his feet is just superb to watch. He had a handful of quiet games after an amazing start and now he looks back on form so let's hope that continues!

Flamini showed he is an important part of our team. Oxocube was very good today. Our cbs were good as usual. Arteta seemd more back on the pace than he has recently as well.

Flappy other than one flappy moment was quality in goal today. He is a very good second choice keeper.

Really pleased to be through to the next round. We've had the hardest route through the competition so far and that continues against Everton. If we can win that it's us or city for the cup. We need to play a strong team against Everton.

Good goal, but what a moronic foul to give away the pen.

Loved the chant, 'same old scousers always stealing' when the Liverpool fans did not give the ball back despite their team being two down. Had me in stitches.

Though your defense was much better than the horror show at Anfield. Our players still managed to get past your defense countless number of times. It was our finishing that let us down today, it was just an off day for the strikers I guess, But full credit to you GK. He had a blinder.

    a moronic foul ?

It was a tap ...and there was another defender for Suarez to beat after , i dont buy that was even a pen ,

Oxos was nailed on but he got away with it , that would have been a disaster .

To be fair he barely touched Suarez and Suarez went flying to the ground. Didn't think it was a pen but podolski does go in like a little dog snapping at the heels when he tackles lol
