Webb is classed as the best ref because when he makes mistakes, he makes sure he goes on the side of caution. That way, his mistakes don't cost goals. Other ref's may give controversial penalties which results in goals and they are more memorable, or spoken about more than those refs that give them to the attacking side. He makes just as many mistakes but because he makes them not resulting in goals, he get's away with it.
We are **** in the closing stages of a game when searching for an equaliser. Let's see if we can manage to do the same as Fulham away and actually grab a meaningful goal.
Not really evened out, Sterling should have been sent off in the 1st half for pushing the referee. The first pen was very soft, and Gerrard should have been sent off for a 2nd yellow. It's quite funny how at the start of the 2nd half Gerrard and Webb are having a laugh and a joke, and then Webb let's him off big time, on what was a blatant 2nd yellow card
I'd hate to have you on my side of a fight if you think that was a push. You'd think punching someone was tapping their cheek with your finger
Disappointed to go out This is definitely another game #decided by Webb though A week to recover and focus on the PL
It doesn't matter how trivial it was, he still put his hands on the referee so should have been sent off. Liverpool May have been denied a blatant penalty, but they've had the rub of the green as far as every other big decision has been concerned
How does Webb only play an extra 15 seconds when the GK took a minute to do his laces? Oh yeah, he's a Manc...
played arsenal think some dodgy decisions by the ref, but we can both say that to be fair. need to buck your ideas up though or bayern will rip you apart.
Alex Ferguson used to grope the 4th official every other game. He didn't get sent off every time IIRC.
Think they'll do that however we play really. No pressure on us in the CL I think... Everyone expects a big loss. The fact we haven't been completely knocked out of two other trophies means an exit in the CL wouldn't be the end of our season.
Erm, nothing in the rule book to say you can't touch the official. Was hardly like he pushed him or anything was it
