Rumour on the south coast that LuaLua will sign for Brighton for 1.5 mill by the weekend, any rumours up there about this?
I'd rather he was just loaned if I'm honest, bit disappointed if he left. Seems like an exciting prospect. But yeah, I can see it happening.
Gutted that he is leaving, thought he had bright future infront of him here. Wish him all the best if he does sign on the dotted line for Brighton though.
Wasn't that impressed with him to be honest. All speed and no composure. Nowhere near the standard of Ferguson. Probably best that he moves on and gets his chance somewhere else and we get what would be a fair bundle of cash for an unproven youth product, which we can re-invest. Good luck to him though!
I thought he looked decent if I'm honest, a string of games could get him going. (not like that...) Always had the feeling he'd go the same way as Lomana though But no, he's no Fergie that's for sure! And no one's taking our Shane away!!
Not as good as Ferguson but Ferguson is a bit special. I think LuaLua could turn out to be anything, he's a bit of an unknown specimen but for £1.5m Brighton will be getting a bargain.
Yeah ... hands off our Shane!! Don't get me wrong I reckon he'll be good at championship level and will do a good job for Brighton. Willing to accept that he might prove me wrong and turn out to be really good at prem level as well and that we may regret letting him go. But he didn't impress me the way Fergie did and its obvious Pardew feels the same way. Can't see him getting many games with us so it is fairer to Lua Lua to move him on so that he gets a chance somewhere else. We didn't do that with Chopra (for example) and I have often wondered if he would have developed into the talent we thought he might become had he gotten more games at the height of his confidence instead of rotting in the reserves for years and years barely getting a game.
I'm suprised we haven't stuck £10m in for him... in all seriousness I'd have liked Colchester to stick a bid in for him but thats half of their reported transfer budget (and they need improving elsewhere)
He may well turn out to be someone like Lennon, very fast and doesn't have an end product for years, then all of a sudden he whips in a few good balls and he would be classed as a world beater, but in all honesty I don't think he'll quite make the grade in the Premiership. I do hope he proves me wrong and all the best to him if he does go to Brighton!
