Team News: The Liverpool XI: Jones, Flanagan, Skrtel, Agger, Cissokho, Gerrard, Allen, Coutinho, Suarez, Sterling, Sturridge. Liverpool's substitutes: Mignolet, Toure, Moses, Henderson, Kelly, Aspas, Teixeira
Happy to see Agger and Skrtel, Toure's not been playing well. Jones? I wouldn't have thought goalkeepers needed a rest, so that seems a bit pointless. If he screws up, I won't be too impressed with this call. I think we'll miss Henderson in the middle against Arsenal's midfield too.
cheers dribbles please tell me there is a reason why Jones is in goal, why play a strong team but a ****e goalie? on one hand we want to take the cup seriously, but if we did, why is migs dropped, kick up the ass, or not that bothered by cup?
FFS What's the point in playing a strong outfield, if you're then going to shove a **** keeper in goal! Shame Henderson is missing out, but then I guess he could do with a rest. Arsenal team looks very interesting. Arsenal starting XI: Fabianski, Jenkinson, Koscielny, Mertesacker, Monreal, Flamini, Arteta, Oxlade-Chamberlain, Ozil, Podolski, Sanogo
BETRAYED!!!!! stabbed in the back by our manager... f'n jones. SIGH!!! ah well.. maybe next year will be our year going to get drunk before the off then.
Not happy with Jones or Allen, Jones for obvious reasons and Allen because I think he works well in a 3 man midfield.
Certainly not Arsenals best team either Arsenal starting XI: Fabianski, Jenkinson, Koscielny, Mertesacker, Monreal, Flamini, Arteta, Oxlade-Chamberlain, Ozil, Podolski, Sanogo
That team certainly suggest BR thinking they can score as many as they want, and we'll just trust ourselves to score at least 1 more. Hopefully Suarez finds his scoring boots again and Sturridge can net for the 9th game in a row to set a new record.
Guessing it's because Jones has played all the FA cup games this season so some sort of loyalty? He has kept a clean sheet in all games he's played this year to be fair... be amazed if he continues that stat today though
maybe, how far do we go with him then though? remember Arsenal just playing their youngsters in the cup, but as soon as they get to the semis or final, they are then not deemed good enough and its full strength first team and its a kick in the teeth to their youngsters who got them there, is it a risk worth taking for us considering we know he isnt that good?
FA cup draw on ITV now. Don't get why they can't wait until after all the games are played Would take a home draw against any of them. Ideally avoiding City but would fancy us at home against them
just thinking the same. surely its wrong on so many levels, that say when they are walking down the tunnel at half time and its not good, someone shouts out in the crowd come on ffs we could get a home tie against Burnley in the next round for example. no team should know who anyone else is playing until all ties are played. while typing this home game against everton ffs!!!!
At least it's at home; I'd fancy us to beat anyone at Anfield right now, and I bet you not many teams would like the odds of getting a win here either.
