Very true matth we ain't in the CL, but to be fair there's a very good chance Utd won't be in it next season, so cherish your run in this seasons competition.

 

Dont be surprised to see uefa pull some strings to get us in there.

Personally I would like to see Liverpool in Europe, so

1. We get our annual bye in CL again
2. We can see whether Suarez can do the business at the highest level and score in big games

 

Apparently (and we'll never know for sure I guess, even when/if he signs a new contract), he'll be on the same basic wage as now but his performance-based fees increased in the case of silverware etc, which would make up the rumoured 300K figure.

Which makes sense if that is the case, I see no problem with it.

Personally I dont think he's worth this sort of money, yes he's a good player, but has he been playing like one of the best players in the world this season, or in any recent seasons? Not for me.

I don't know what our finances are like at our club, but I do worry that we're wasting too much money on Rooney's wages, which could be spent elsewhere. We could bring in a player equally as good as Rooney and pay him half that. Mata is on half that, and is as good as Rooney if you ask me
