As I said before - and it's stil as good an analogy as I can think of - I like a smoke, but it's against the law. The thing is as long as I only smoke at home or in the homes of some of my friends i'll probably be ok. I don't happen to agree with the law criminalising Cannabis but I abide by it by not dealing or smoking in public places, and I don't skin up in front of the Cops. I'd love to be able to go to a pub. or just for a walk and have a smoke but it's not going to happen, especially if I continue to flout the law as a form of protest.

Connect the content of that song to Celtic Football Club...

The "leap" you're going to have to make is massive!

Not at all Pud. I'm going to lean on the modus operandi of the owner of this site for a brief moment and cite the works of a great philosopher on this slight departure from the criminalising of football fans:

And of course it isn't hard at all to make the connection. It is a connection that has been made since the inception of our club. That others chose not to make that very obvious connection is of course absolutely their prerogative but to pretend that it doesn't exist is disingenuous in the extreme. And to act as though that connection has no merit or worth is to betray a huge part of the history of Celtic.

You don't have to embrace it Pud.

Time for one of my outlandish analogies....added solely for my own entertainment.

I used to love a can of Lilt..... ****ing loved the stuff.
    Lilt is made by Coca-Cola.
    Lots of people like Coca-Cola.
Lilt is a big part of the Coca-Cola Company. It adds a lot to the brand.
If Coca-Cola decided to discontinue Lilt, I could drink Coke if I wanted.....in fact I might do. But I'd be disappointed that such an integral part of the Coke brand had been so callously disregarded and would point to all the times when the Lilt drinkers dragged Coke's arse out of a hole...... So throwing lilt drinkers in the nick for singing roll of honour is ****ing daft.

Analogies are a great way to make a point.... My analogies are a great way to confuse things.

Maybe a mosquito net over the green brigade would help all this tropical fever

    Have Rangers died yet?

Phil's latest offering looks like a wee backtrack, which is very disheartening to say the least.

I thought I had made that quite clear.

To clarify, I don't smoke at Parkhead. That would be stupid.

Because, as far as i am aware, he doesn't do it in front of the police, TV cameras or to make some sort of statement?

Rather, he does it at home or with likeminded friends, and that's as far as it goes.

The GB do it, regardless of who's about, in a place in which many of those around them don't agree with them.

I quite enjoy writing my comments like Phil does on his blog.

    Yes, I do.

I break the law in private. I still risk arrest but I mitigate the risk by not being an idiot.

So if they bring out a law that bans people from wearing football colours in public you would think that is okay?

You think you should only obey the law when in public, regardless if you agree with it or not.

I choose to break the law in private, I accept the consequences of my own actions and if i'm arrested so be it, i've broken the law.

Dev is minimising the risk of getting arrested and subsequently prosecuted for something that is illegal.

Singing roll of honour is not against the law.

The misapplication of a ****ing idiotic law is trying to criminalise it. Smoking weed is against the law however it is dressed up.

The green brigade bitch and cry when they get arrested for it. If I get lifted with a quarter of primo stinky in my pocket I don't ****ing protest about it or spout some ****e about my human rights being violated. Away to ****.

You don't see all the ****ing stoners trying to get Ekk-A-Mouse into the charts do you?
