If his attitude stays like the last few months this is really bad news. No passion, no interest, just want`s to pick up his pay packet, which is a shame because for the last two seasons he has been the only drive in our team.

The 300k we might be paying rooney is still much less of a risk compared to what liverpool pay suarez. We also have tge healthiest wage bill in the league, this will still be the case even if rooney was on 500k or a million.
It's a ridiculous salary but it has to be seen as a positive. Had he left, there could have been more and potential new signings would have questioned joining. Now though, the club looks healthy. Having players like Rooney at the club will tempt new players and will also help get a decent manager at the end of this season.
Thats the thinking I reckon. Infact I wouldnt be surprised if rooneys been given inside info that we are looking for a new manager.
