well from my perspective, if we'd had another 5 home games in this time and had to pay ticket fees for the cup games, i'd be struggling.. and i don't have kids to pay for OR wembley.. wembley charge ****ing extorinate ticket prices and the food/drinks for the day PLUS travel... sunderland ain't south west london mate..

LOL smug! Getting back to the thread, tho, I can be arsed to go but there are two of us in the equation, so that's double-bubble straight away. I could be given a ticket tomorrow for the final but I couldn't contemplate being there without her. She was there in '85 and '92. Also. As I've stated on several threads lately, i don't deserve a ticket 'cos I aint there often enough. Thats going to change tho. Season tickets for next season (health permitting). Hope I can get somewhere near me old seats. x
That's where you're going wrong ....... all people will see is our name being pulled out of the hat tomorrow and 40,000 Sunderland supporters at Wembley. Everyone knows the cups are poorly supported these days, in Spain, France, Italy it's the same story ......... no big deal.
But as I repeat for the 12,000th time, the issue lies with those who CAN afford it, and CHOOSE not to go, yes? Am I talking Arabic here?

like i said how do you know WHO can afford it and WHO can't? it's about priorities.. okay i can afford the £15 this match for myself.. but the travel.. food/drink.. and do i have to take my kids too? it piles up mate.. you've had an incredible amount of home games this season ofcourse it's disappointing with the attendance but really there's nothing you can do about it is there?
**** sake man, I never suggested I know how many. I DID say, many, many times, that 24,000, the difference between today and average attendance, is not likely to be the figure that can't afford it, that's ludicrous. People couldn't be arsed, the very people who didn't get Wembley tickets and whine about it (not all, I know, but many of them will be)
