No, it's about those two things and many others ...... why should that be so difficult to understand? Am I only allowed to make one point and add nothing to it as the debate progresses? I'm not changing my argument at all, just continuing with the debate and adding to it. What a very strange thing for you to say. I couldn't give two ****s about 'winning an argument', I don't have to justify myself to anyone least of all strangers on here. I notice you totally ignore the fact that, despite your claims about our support, we average 40K+ BTW, £15 might be **** all to you but, to some lads, it's a fortune ........... this is the NE with a massive rate of unemployment and piss poor average wages.
No opinion either way about crowd size or who is the best supporter. However, maybe we are having a taste of the cost of success on a mini-scale when compared to European game travelers. League and FA cupties coming on top of the cost of league games maybe is just too far for some. On the debate about tickets, all club employers get a reward for their work so a couple of tickets for stewards isn't unreasonable. Maybe ever ES kept a couple of hundred for himself to bring outside interest and finance into the club.
Because the numbers ARE dwindling. Our average attendance this season will drop below 40k for the first time in years, it's just over at the minute, but won't be seasons end.
You won't find me whinging about any of it. It's how things are. If I wanted to guarantee tickets I could move back to Durham and get a season ticket. It's a lottery and those who are determined to get in will get in .......... I will and that's 100% certain.
Which is why I specifically mentioned 22,000. of course to some it is, I'd wager not to all of the missing 22k.
A cup win and a good start next season will see an undwindling ......... our support isn't to be sneered at imo.
When the manager announces it's a match he'd be pleased to lose you can't expect people to flock to the ground. Be fair mate, we all expected us to lose today and none of us would've been that bothered.
Says the man who makes a specific point of mentioning where he flies from and how "it's not a problem for me cos I have the means" on every single ****ing thread. If indeed you do have the money and lifestyle you claim to, it has turned you into a right knob mate, and the worst part is I don't even think you realise it.
We've had 8 home games in the cups now. That's 8 extra games on top of our season ticket to shell out for plus a trip to emblem which has cost me £56 plus the bus at £43. So an extra £200 not including travelling to all of the extra matches and food and dink consumed whilst there, this season on top of my season ticket at £400. I have 2 kids and a wife which I support. This is why I haven't been today along with being offered overtime on call at work till 12:30. Even if I want working I couldn't afford the extra £15 to go.people forget how much on top of our season tickets we've had to spend in one of the least economically affluent areas of the country. We're not Manchester or London. People forget that we are not all loaded up here like they are in London... Perfectly proven by th fact that my annual wage is less than 80% of the national average and is still over 22k.. But it is above the average for the area.
a friend of mine, an ex-season ticket holder who now lives in florida got an email off ellis including 15 other ex-pats (ex season card holders now living in the usa) offering them a free ticket and an invite to a private party in london on the saturday which ellis and co will be in attendance at. reckons he's gonna drag the ****er to trafalgar square
I'd say it was very disappointing, given they were expected to win and had a great chance to go a long way if they did. They had a 700 mile round trip of course, but the FA Cup was their season really, so yeah, it was a pretty poor show on their part.
Don't realise it I was brought up in a ****ing 2 bedroom pit house with 3 siblings, no bathroom and a toilet in a ****ing midden across the street. But please forgive me if I'm pleased that I've kicked and punched my way to a decent lifestyle I don't mention it on 'every thread' and usually take the piss out of mesel. It's just bellends like you who are so ****ing twisted that like to think it's every thread. And why should a ****ing no mark Mag come on here telling me how I should behave on my own board ........ if you don't like it go and clout a ****ing horse or summat.
This. Times are tough ATM, no doubt about it. Also no doubt that crowd of 16,777 is poor, but I wasn't there so I'm not calling the other stay aways. The problem now is not that our support is dwindling, but that you can see games on the telly for nowt. People are being more selective about what they pay for and Bruce/MON/Di Canio sagas have hardly helped. A bit of stability under Gus, (please God) a cup win and a fresh start in August and this issue could be history.
I was asking the lad a question and he answered honestly ....... I'll ask you, did you expect us to win with that side? A yes or no will do fine.
I'll tell you what mate, go and get ****ed you narrow minded bitter little twat. How's that for for 'this!!!!!!!!!!" You don't have a ****ing clue about me and probably less about yersel .......... who the **** are you anyway?
You can't have a conversation with someone without mentioning flights, contacts, money, or something similar. Simple fact you just can't. Embarrassing.
