The only reason that Sherwood keeps winning is the players he has in the side, so obviously we need to get rid of him because without those players he would be rubbish.

Then Van Gall Stones will use different players (otherwise he would just be copying Sherwood and we already have him as manager so why pay more for Gall Stones) and start losing because without those players what we already have we would not win.

    Obvious innit! <whistle>

According to the Italian press, Interim Tim is going to be replaced by Prandelli after the WC. Probably journo bullshit

I really don't want an Italian, Spanish or Portugese manager their football is not our football as we have seen with Ramos and AVB. I'd rather spend 5 years working with Sherwood if that is what it takes rather than watch us progressing to towards boring efficient football.

Agree with you with one notable exception, I'd welcome Rudi Garcia. He's working miracles this season despite his club losing their director of football and their star player, the next 'Messi', in the last couple of years <whistle>

I have a horrible feeling that when Wenger throws in the towel, the goons will snap up Garcia. We should snap him up before they get the chance.

If Redknapp was registered on here, he would rep you for that post.

Yes, Mourinho, Pellegrini, Martinez are all doing terrible jobs aren't they... <whistle>

  8. To be fair to Spurf, though, WY, what chance do we stand of getting a manager of the qualities of those whom you have listed?

Martinez, possibly, but how long would he last under Levy?

Arguably the one doing the best job is Pellegrini and he is from Chille and is therefore outside my objections. The other two I would not like to see at Spurs although Martinez has spent long enough in England to have changed to the local conditions and is therefore less objectionable from my point of view. Mourinho just no thanks.

I knew you would point out Pellegrini - He's Italian by family, grew up in a Latin football culture, and gained most of his success in Spanish football. Surely this qualifies as the 'type' of manager you were describing whose "football is not our football"

If so he is not playing that with Man City. Let's be clear it is the football style I object to not the individual. If a Spaniard etc. sya like Martinez can adapt and play what I would call good football then no problem but the tippy tappy defensive crap you can keep.

Allarshyte is English, does that mean you want his brand of Aussie Rules at WHL?

  14. The day we get a manager like Fat Sam is the day I give up supporting football.
