So everyone wants a ticket to gan to Wemley.

I'm a placka fan, but just curious as to why Att: 16,777.

Everyone saving up? It will get expensive especially if there is a semi at wembley, then a final also in the FA cup.

It was a totally meaningless match where the only hope was that we wouldn't draw.

Southampton could only manage a few hundred so it's no reflection on us ........ they had much more interest in going through.

We have vital away matches at places like Norwich and also a cup final to shell out for.

Anyone criticising Sunderland supporters saving their money for more meaningful games can get ****ed.

I'm 1000 miles away and come back regularly for games.

Can anyone seriously expect me to come back for this game when I've already spent a fortune on planning the cup final, Palace at home and Norwich away?

If you can criticise me then get ****ed, not everyone lives in the NE.

Didn't look good on the Telly to be honest, but crap weather, not the most inspiring opposition and not too much spare cash ...I guess it's a little understandable

    Wembley ticket £40 to £100
    Transport £30 - £60
    Hotel £60 - £120

Now that's a lot to fork out. Never mind the cost of food and drink on the day. And merchandise.

For many it's also 2 weeks before pay day, a day after valentines day. Money doesn't grow on trees for lots of us, so totally understand why many did not go. I chose not to so I could keep money for wembley and the upcoming league games, can't afford it all.

The club set the scene today by playing the reserves ....... the ticket price is irrelevant to my sons and mates who live in Mansfield.

Their day out involves leaving home at 10am, thereby losing half a days pay, and getting home after 8pm.

If there's only two of them that's £30 a pop for fuel.

By the time they've paid for grub and drinks etc that's around £50 plus the cost of the match ticket. Add that to a half day's wage lost and you're soon at £150.

Multiply that by all the home games and it's way more than the cosy season ticket holders ever have to pay.

There are hundreds of lads, in the midlands pit villages, in the same boat who would love to see every game ........ but they have to make choices.

Some people have to give their heads a ****ing good shake and stop believing every ****er lives in Boldon.

    Beat around the bush?

FFS, some people don't know where the ****ing bush is <doh>

Have to agree Smug, when I was living in the midlands a 500 mile round trip use to cost me a fortune even back in the mid 90's, what with fuel prices today will be even more costly, I can understand how certain fans want to choose
    their games on budget!!

Off subject I got slightly pi**ed off with one Soton fan on the bbc live stream during the game complaining why they
hadn't put out a first 11 to beat us, but then we made 8 changes so we didn't exactly play our best 11, sad f**ker.

Nobody's having a pop at your personal support smug, you've more than served your apprenticeship over the years, but today's attendance is pretty much indefensible. Before this season, I have always admitted your attendance has been impressive, but for some eason this season, it seems the better you do, the less people go. I know you've got Wembley coming up, but to be honest, that crowd today is a kick in the knackers for your manager.

Could have afforded the ticket today but as I had no free lift it was too expensive for me to get there.

    Hardly mate.

Southampton brought a few hundred for a 5th round FA Cup tie when Kidderminster brought 4,000.

    That's the reality these days.

The game was on TV, we all knew the reserves would be playing and Poyet had already said we'd take a dive if we were drawing late in the 2nd half.

When the manager says he'd prefer defeat to possible progress you know the score.

We all have £1000 to blow at Wembley and the prospect of away games at places like Norwich.

If we weren't in the league cup final you could've stuck 10,000 on that attendance today.

I'm a fanatic but nothing would've made me come back to watch our reserves against their's ............. nothing.

There would have been people who could have got to the game today no bother. These same fans will be pissed off when they can't get a Wembley ticket. I didn't expect a large crowd today, I was quite surprised at how low it was though

Whatever, attendances don't count for ****. Another good win today and into the quarters we go

The disgraceful, and totally expected, farce of the league cup final allocation makes people like me think, 'Get ****ed if you want my support today'.

You're entitled and I applaud your support.

However, it costs me more than your season ticket for every match.

I was at the Chelsea game and the Kidderminster match. I was at West Brom when we lost and PDC was sacked.
I was at the Arsenal match and the derby.

£1000's spent and not a ****ing sniff of general sale.

Excuse me if I don't trust the club or the system.

It's tricky mate, if the ST holders weren't given priority there'd be an uproar and then maybe they wouldn't renew

That being said I feel for those who went to all the cup ties and then couldn't get a ticket.

Perhaps at the beginning of a season, the club should make it clear that those who constantly attend cup games will be rewarded with priority if we manage to get to Wembley

They were given priority but then some ...... it ****ing stinks and we all know it.

I never expected general sale so I made my own arrangements.

The people I feel sorry for are the decent supporters, who make up that 40,000+ average and never got a look in.

I'll be there because I have the means but I feel sorry for the good supporters who can't find that lump sum, for a season ticket, but are as good as any of us.
