Haven't I read that post more than a few occasions dai , try a bit of imaginationI . I imagine Huw is into the end game of Laudrups sacking with a few leaked stories , not necessarly true . All I see when I see a picture of Jenkins now is " Mr.Burns " off of the simpsons.
You can only say the truth, Laudrup was negative and whoever the manager is who plays the swansea way is positive...you cant get away from the facts however much you try to dress it up to try to look better for laudrup....
Bloody hell! If true Stumpy, it would answer a lot of questions why we didn't sign anyone of quality in January. Somebody posted the other day here that ML blocked moves for the likes of Ince, Holtby and somebody else, hence why we went for Emnes, somebody of which Laudrup's agent would have no influence over as he had already been here. If this latest 'revelation'and the stoires about him not turning up for training etc are true, he will never get anywhere near one of the huge football clubs. These stories, if true are showing Laudrup out to be a complete knobhead, and like Stumpy, I'm having a difficult time coming to nterms with it, given the way he has conducted himself in public to the media.
Didn't say I wasn't part of it but I was going off an article at least . AND Bony won't come out to dismiss the article . Not seeing an article about this , unless I missed something.
To see people treat Laudrup like the enemy so soon after he's left , after all he did for us makes me sick .A lot of ungratefulness around here .cheers
I told you ages ago that he was missing training sessions because of outside interests. His ego was massive but his man management skills were very poor. If he was to come down of his high horse and did his job properly then he could become a good manager. You have to put 100% into the club and do your homework on the opposition if you want to be successful and not leave it until the last minute and play the same type of football the same against everyone as you wont win many games doing that. He was just not cut out for managing an insignificant team like us that he never knew much about and did not really care just as long as he did well in the European games where he will get noticed to further boost his over size ego...
"Changing a manager mid-season is not always a wise choice unless, of course, there is good cause and solid reason. "Collectively as a board we assessed every aspect surrounding the way our first-team staff and squad was working on a day-to-day basis. "Without going into detail, it was clear to all of our directors that the strong principles we have had at Swansea City over the last 10 years were slowly being eroded. - Huw Jenkins When you analyse these words above Stumpy, they take on a new and fuller meaning, given what you have been told!..............
I quite agree RJ, I supported ML until his dismissal unlike many on here hence my shock at what I've heard and my desire to know if its true or not. I don't want it to be as I hold a lot of respect and gratitude towards Michael Laudrup. What makes it worse for me RJ is that I trust the person who told us, otherwise I'd rubbish it and move on myself, but not from this guy. Still, he's been off the mark, not wrong, in the past, why he's an 80-20. I posted the rumor in the hope that someone "in the know" would concur with or rubbish my post, but hoping for the latter. I'd feel like a total moron having backed him to the hilt when he was with us, if this was going on in the background.
Why should you feel like a moron , you did what a lot of us did which was to respect a man who had glorious footballing career and only spoke sense and never made you feel he was speaking down to you if you met him face to face .We only react to what we know or perceive what we think a person is .we're not all privileged to be in the "know" and rely on others who are to tell the true story (if there is one to tell ) .It's only now we may hear what really happened and thats when our opinions can or may alter .Still a great footballer , maybe not a great manager who knows .
Doesn't stack up in the slightest for me. We have no chance of winning the Europa and another high finish in the Premier League would have given Laudrup a far higher profile than getting knocked out of the Europa. Not so? As for players, providing new signings weren't cup tied (if that applies in the Europa), had Laudrup particular ambitions/hopes in that direction, signing more quality would have been very much in his interests. As for Stumpy's post about nefarious dealings behind the scenes, I would be very disappointed IF this is proven to be fact. IF it is, I would totally agree with his sacking with no compensation. We shall see in due course.
How can he be wrong when there are so many articles coming out about him with more to follow, I cant wait until one of our main players leaves and then you will know what i knew and have been saying all season.....There is just one other fan besides myself who has been on here and the old 606 who i know has some sort of inside knowledge as he has said some things over the years that has never come out for at least a month or so later or in some cases never.... Why would jinx sack laudrup a few days before the derby match.... and why would i say laudrups sacking is imminent and probably soon when most fans thought he would finish the season. The trust was calling for his head months ago and its a pity jinx never listened then....The club had no alternative in the end and the last straw was going on holiday after the west ham match after being told to report to the liberty for a emergency meeting on the Sunday...How can you expect the club to dismiss that.....Nobody is bigger than the club not even laudrup...
