Who was talking about chances per game? Wickham has done well for the 20 minutes he was on the pitch. I'm just saying we shouldnt judge him on that. Jozy hold up play is good IMO, its just him freezing up when he gets an opportunity to shoot thats the problem, and one he admits to.
Reckon Gus might fancy a trip to Brighton next up - a bit of unfinished business there and I suspect he'd like noting better than to stick it up them!!!
Fair point regarding the economy in Manchester compared to the north east but surely the club can be a bit inventive to get people in? Adults £5 and kids £1 would surely have a full house and the club would make it back with what the kids have spent on them anyway
Simple thing to do is give Season card holders free entry up to and including the Quarter Finals in all cup comps, keep the tickets at a tenner for general sale then the guaranteed decent attendance and added atmosphere would go a long way to encourage others to come.
been saying this for ever, even emailed the club about it before response was something along the lines of, we are always looking at ways to reward fans and to make the matchday experience more affordable - in other words, cheers GC but not gonna happen
Sunderland continued their cup success this season as a much-changed side saw off a poor Southampton side to reach the FA Cup quarter-finals. Are we ever going to get any recognition. A poor Southampton now.
The club could and should do more to encourage families to attend these games, the game being on tv should be a reason to fill the ground one way or another.
