We'll defo lose more than a couple before the end of the season, no doubt about that whatsoever! All the chasing pack will need to do is make sure they lose about 3 less than we do..
I reckon 90 points will be enough ultimately to secure a top 2 place. That means with 16 games left, we need to win 7 and draw 2, can afford to lose the other 7 !!! We have only lost 5 all season so far! Sounds easy when you put it like that..... if only it was!!!!
The closer to the end we get, the more the knots in my stomach tighten. We all know we will loose more in the games to come and it certainly doesn't help knowing we won't pick up points this weekend.

just looked and realised you only have an 8 point lead on Burnley and 11 on us. Come monday you could be down to a 5 point lead over burnley who are winning and scoring goals, and just 8 over us... I think it may turn out a lot closer than some of your posters believe.... 5 points over 16 (?) games is nothing, and looking at your form guide shows you havent really had a bad patch..YET !! like Miami said...."let the games begin"!!...ps..2 points for the first person to name that film..?
Somebody always goes top and then ****s it up in the latter stages. Unfortunately last season Cardiff forgot that it was their job, so there's no obvious candidates any more.
If its a prediction then you are saying it will happen. Think you are more likely hoping and praying with fingers and toes crossed that it may happen. As you point out in an earlier post Burnley are on a roll, you should be worried about them not us.
We are certain to loose some games, if its only a couple, I'd be very happy. It's unlikely though. At this point last year Cardiff had lost 6, won 20. Hull lost 6 won 16, Watford lost 10 won 16, us lost 9 won 16. By the end of play Cardiff had lost 9, won 25, Hull lost 15 won 24, Watford lost 15 won 23, us, well we know how badly that went Cardiff only won 5 of their last 16 but were picking up points from draws (8). Hull managed to loose 6 but won 8. It all gets very unpredictable at this stage of the season. There are no easy games and they only get harder. I therefore predict we'll win some & loose some but so will everyone else
From the maths perspective anything is possible (obviously) ,,, but if you approach it logically the conclusion can only be that we are in a cracking position ... e.g We could lose to QPR, Burnley anf Forest that's true (others as well) ... but the chasers all have to keep winning at the same time ... and the pressure to keep doing that is immense .. Also - why, logically, should our form fall away whilst everyone else gets better? ... I can't see any reason ... we don't have any real injury concerns (Liam Moore) will be pushing for a recall at Forest (may be a game to soon) We are eight points clear with 30 played becasue we have been the best team so far ... if we continued our 'to date' percentages we would only lose another 3 games, win 11 and draw 2 out of the remaining games..
But if we continued out 'to date' percentages last January, we would be in the Premier League right now I know what you mean though... And as you say, it's not just about us having a bad run, it's at least two of the other teams capitalising on it.
There is a distinct differnce this time around - the depth in the squad ... we played an on loan teenage centre-half throughout that run and had Jeff Schlupp out on loan ... this season we also have an on loan teenage centre half but only use him as cover whilst we are more or less doubly represented in every other position ... plus we have a wealth of experience in terms of those that have been brought in ... ... the other difference is that last season we were chasing Cardiff rather than being where we are now ... and the pressure of chasing can affect teams ... another point which I feel is in our favour ... we can afford a loss ... the others really can't - not if they are going to catch us... ... hence my question on 'logic' ... what grounds are there for thinking we'll do worse whilst our rivals do better from now to th end of the season? ... the worry, of course, is that intangible commonly referred to as 'sods law' ...
You may well beat us mate, but by then it may not matter a jot to be honest. Before we play you we have 35 points to play for, so by the time the QPR dads army arrive in town, it could all be over. Notice I say COULD!
"ONLY" an 8 point point gap not too shabby though right! 11 points on your lot and MAYBE down to 8 .....IF you beat Reading. Big IF looking at your current form. Big pressure on your lot to start winning games SOON!
All i ever read on the QPR board is "Leicester are nothing special, Burnley arent that good" Etc. They go on like their Barcelona and everyone else is **** and are just getting lucky every week. Delusions of grandeur or what
They should be the Celtic of the Championship but i personally think they have too many players that are looking for their last payday, too old to keep the pace for an entire season or are out of contract in the summer.
I've not seen any foxes fans here saying we'll run away with it. You're trying to put words that haven't been spoken into our gobs.. Are you so worried about your own teams performance that you're imagining things, or just doing it for general WUMming reasons? Actually all of us here know it's for both of those reasons!
