My application was rejected when I refused to agree to being reported on by the home fans survey. I don't fancy having to remember to shout "get up you hetero" at Brighton players rolling around on the floor, or else face jail for some discriminatory bollocks because soft as **** Brighton fans can't take a bit of banter.
Did you give them a list of the chants you wanted to use? "Does your b------d know your g-y" "Does your b------d know your here" "Does your b------d know your qu--r" "We can see you h-----g hands" I'm not surprised they turned you down Bob you homophobe!
My favourite part of that survey was the entry regarding their game against us last season (at the KC I think) it talked of one Hull player making a homophobic gesture at the away fans by touching his buttock. I have no idea who that was if it is indeed true.
I bet he's really glad he went to the effort of letting people know a bit about what goes on down there for the benefit of any City fans travelling. : Brighton fans are joining in with the name change campaign and have offered good support in issues in the past. Fair play to them.
it was aimed at the club not the fans - I have no problem with them except for their ridiculous survey - it's up to the club to make away fans welcome and accommodate difficult travel arrangements on a Monday night - the club has totally failed in that respect and are de facto are a set of ****s - I have been to every game city has played there and it is a disgrace the way they treat away fans
Now that is interesting. Care to provide more detail on this "disgrace" you mention? What exactly is it that, in your opinion, BHA as a club has done wrong?
Seem like decent sorts the Brighton fans. I recall them supporting us during the Fish/Dolan era too. All power to 'em.
no parking anywhere near the ground for away fans, given to home fans only - I was told to drive away and use park and ride, no facilities in university, told home fans only- this happens at no other ground in the country - please provide parking near the ground for away fans as well as home fans and that is a disgrace
Simply not true. Perhaps you didn't look at the opening post? Parking for both home and away fans is available in the Bridge car park. As the map on seagulls.co.uk shows, this is very close to the Amex â a couple of minutes walk up the road. There will be plenty of spaces available. As for your "disgrace" comment, Brighton & Hove Albion aim to provide the very best possible facilities for visiting supporters. Friendly stewards, lighting in the away team's colours, away team highlights DVD playing on screens, away team's real ale on tap, padded seats, invitation to eat and drink on any of the concourses post-match⦠Hard to imagine any of your fellow Hull fans seeing all of that as "a disgrace". But, if you know of any other grounds that do treat away fans better than this â or indeed, if Hull City provide better facilities â full details would indeed be very welcome.
sorry matey, you can dress it anyway you like - I go to every away match and have done for many years and BHA is by far the worst for parking for away fans - I tried talking to the stewards about it - once I was sent across open country and told to park in a layby over a mile away in the middle of nowhere - another time I was refused access to the university because I wasn't a home fan - I've always been told to drive to a park and ride facility which I then have to wait and queue to get on a bus which takes me back to my car, not when I want but when the bus decides it's going to take me- it's a bit rich doing surveys on how away fans discriminate against Brighton fans when I can't park my car because I'm an away fan - I'll try your bridge car park and let you know how I find it but I have to say my first reaction when learning we were playing Brighton was the piss-poor parking and getting dicked about
Oh dear, please tell me you're not comparing having no place to park near the ground to homophobic chanting.
A relative and I have had very good experiences seeing City at the Amex - only downside on the last visit was the queue to get on the train - unfortunately we had to get back and couldn't take advantage of the bars staying open!! (and that was down to Southern Rail, not the club!) Much better than the Portsmouth games though I have to say that the treatment at Southampton, where we needed a disabled parking slot, was also first class.
don't be daft - I was told I couldn't park in a local car park because I supported Hull but I could park there if I supported Brighton - that's discrimination and doesn't happen in any other public car parks at any other ground - if you think that's ok, then fine
A group of us went to the Brighton match a couple of seasons ago, it was October but a very warm day and we were directed by some friendly Brighton fans to a pub not far from the ground where there was a beer garden and it was packed with City and Brighton fans. The pub were selling burgers etc outside and the sun was shining, it was a great atmosphere. We went back into the pub after the match until the trains back to Brighton were less crowded. I think the game was a bit disappointing at 0 0 but was an enjoyable weekend. Obviously not going to be quite the same on a cold Monday night though.
Ill be there tomorrow, going on Tiger Travel, hope we get there early enough to have a few pints and mix with the locals #TigersOnTour
