What debate? Singing it at football or imprisoning fans for singing it at football?

Anyone who associates this ****e with Celtic is not only an utter ****wit but also a disgrace to modern society.

Nothing more than a case of self-importance lightly mixed with some attention seeking.

Yes, but also being a stupid **** singing songs about dead terrorists at a football match in a different country is also a disgrace to modern society.

You sad ****s are unrepentant about dragging the name of Celtic through the mud. Not one of you buying that single actually care about Celtic but only care about your own agenda.

    Dear Celtic

Do you feel you are dragging your own name through the mud by playing "back home in Derry", a song written by a "dead terrorist" , in the CP bar?

    Yours

Someone completely intolerant of the opinions of others....hardly an exemplar of modern society.

You are right about one thing though. It is attention seeking to seek attention for a campaign that is about....getting attention. Spot on ****ing accurate there..... But **** all else.

The problem is though, it doesnt highlight the absurdity of the act in any way. I can download and listen to any offensive song I wish in the privacy of my own home ; singing the same song in public is actually - and legally - quite a different matter.

It proves that the song isn't offensive if it is in the charts.

Not really. I remember the furore over "Smack my bitch up". Offence remains subjective.

Singing this song in public is not illegal.

The law is absurd and this campaign is absolutely and certainly highlighting that.

If it was that offensive it wouldn't be allowed in the charts.

No, it might not receive radio play but it would still be in the charts. The charts are simply number of sales.
