2 - 0 hardly a hammering. If we'd scored that goal early on, could have been totally different <ok>

Maybe you did, I struggle to remember the game just recall thinking "That was ****ing ****!" As I do after every loss

I think its clear if a teams energy in closing down and hunting the man in possession is affecting the other team <ok>

in the end any top side would have trashed a team playing 5-3-2 the way we did. end of.

in the same way arsenal could have scored off a set piece or skertl could have missed his ones... in the end it all comes down to this.

past is past.. and has no bearing on this game.

managers approach, tactics, player bravery and positivity... and finally lfc's terrible away form have a bearing.

for me anything could happen and god knows what teams will be picked let a f'n lone what performance level will occur.

its entirely moot if rodgers sticks in jones or something thick like that

They were the better team that day- but it wasn't a landslide. We were still respectable- if outclassed.

Lawro is predicting Liverpool win.Arsenal 1:2Liverpool

    Arsenal v Liverpool (16:00 GMT)
I will be very interested to see Arsene Wenger's starting XI for this tie because the Gunners play Bayern Munich in the Champions League on Wednesday and that game will be on his mind.

    Liverpool still lethal
    Liverpool striker Daniel Sturridge
Liverpool gave away two daft goals against Fulham on Wednesday but that does not matter because they won.

It is obviously better if you can keep clean sheets but Liverpool do not care if the opposition score because they look like scoring at every available opportunity, whoever they play.

I don't think there is a better front four than Liverpool's in the country right now.

Two months ago, it was Manchester City with the in-form attack but now I look at Luis Suarez, Daniel Sturridge, Raheem Sterling and Philippe Coutinho and I do not see any Premier League forwards in better form.

It has been a difficult week for Arsenal, starting with their heavy defeat at Anfield last Saturday. Gunners striker Olivier Giroud, for one, looked to me like he was running on empty in their 0-0 draw against Manchester United on Wednesday and I will be very surprised if he plays.

Liverpool, meanwhile, have got a clear week ahead and I think they will arrive at Emirates Stadium at full strength thinking 'let's go for this'. They have to be. Even if they get a replay, then so what?

They do not have the fixture congestion of the teams who are in Europe and, far more than say Arsenal, Chelsea or Manchester City, they should be saying now 'we want to win the FA Cup' because doing that does not actually translate into that many extra games.

As far as this game goes, Arsenal's biggest problem is there is little pace in their team. Giroud is not quick and there is nobody running beyond him and behind the opposition defence.

Wenger will probably make wholesale changes and Liverpool are in the sort of mood to make the most of it.

    Lawro's prediction: 1-2
