Fulham have just sacked Rene Meulensteen, is that good or bad? http://www1.skysports.com/football/...acked-rene-meulensteen-and-hired-felix-magath
After drawing 2-2 at Old Trafford and losing in the 90th minute by a Liverpool penalty it seems pretty harsh considering the absolute mess left there by the previous regime. Maybe there was a break down between him and the owner? I bet they're all laughing at Fulham FC right now all around Europe, including Barcelona and Madrid. : ) P.s Never ever appoint Martin Jol, to HJ + the board.
Well I'm surprised at that , gave Utd and Liverpool a scare although no points for them , could the new manager syndrome happen this time ,2nd time lucky for them maybe.
Good for us , bad for them . Fulham have stayed up a long time on limited money , much like Charlton 's run in the top level . I respect clubs like them .
They were showing encouraging signs under their former new manager, maybe their chairman is as clueless as Vincent Tan.
2-2 at Old Trafford, they defended brilliantly for 80 minutes and Kieran Richardson missed an absolute sitter when Fulham were up 0-1. Better than our attempt in the league, lost 2-0, should had been 6 if not for Chicarito having an off day and Danny Welbeck being himself.
There isn't a football chairman in the world as clueless as Vincent Tan . The saying " he is his own worst enemy " was custom made for him .
When you're on limited money the smart move is not to pay 70K a week to Berbatov for doing nothing. Great decision, Martin Jol.
P.s Fulham are nothing like us except for their shirt colour, whilst they came up the leagues like we did they were backed all the way by Mohammed Al Fayed, Kevin Keegan spent millions trying to get them out of the League 1 (Third tier)
Harsh sacking but let's be fair, Fulham have looked like they're on borrowed time for a while now, so it doesn't matter who's in charge. Another rich foreign owner learns the hard way.
