Of course. I hate a lot of that beep beep dubstep nonsense but loved Bangarang by Skrillex. Music defies logic sometimes.
It simply means that you stopped listening to most new music some time after the 90s. It's perfectly natural. Wind the clock back 30 years and our dads used to say the same thing.
