http://evertonfc.com/news/archive/2014/02/08/kone-amp-gibson-to-play-this-season Well this is great news on this pair. Great work all round to get them back earlier than I had hoped.
That's great news Gibson Is a big player for us..Kone didn't get a chance for a decent start with us before his Injury
Ramadan didnt help his pre season. But he is big, powerful and plays the role Lukaku does well. He can also drift out left
Yeah, his fantastic performances in an Everton shirt prove my view to be idiotic eh... Oh wait.... Dickhead
Haha. Dont get wound up Tobes. He had a cruciate knee injury, do you want him playing with crutches? You dont believe Martinez knows what he is doing? Or he shouldn't be looking at Wigan players?
From what we've seen from him at Goodison he's nowhere near good enough for a top 6 side As his performances before his unfortunate injury were absolute ****e. He'll be looked back on as one of the worst purchases in Everton history
What are the total minutes he played so far Tobes, the minutes you have made this judgment on? Should I make the same judgement on all players who have played such limited minutes. Per Koldrup will never be topped neither willMadar. He has scored PL goals and will once fit, if after 10 games he hasnt then your judgement will be correct. Until then I back him as I do every plyer who pulls on that shirt. Straq was never good enough for Everton, but did you back him.. Want him to score?
He's 30 years old & he's looked absolute **** in his fledgling Everton career A donkey signing from Martinez, who despite his great start, shouldn't be immune from criticism & Kone along with that mule Alcaraz are 2 mistakes, end of story
So just opinion. Alcaraz had one bad game against the RS and Kone gets injured and thats it. So martinez is coming in for criticism or just not living up to your standards?
Alcaraz is mince full stop, as well as being made of glass. Kone isn't good enough for a top 6 PL side & wouldn't get into the squads of any of our peers - fact. Martinez has done great, but the decision to pay £6m for Kone was an awful call
So you are saying that they are two poor signings? On less than a handful of games between them? You say that Kone wouldn't get into the starting 11 of other top six sides, well I agee as he is injured!
Yes, that's exactly what I'm saying. Kone looked an absolute horror in his appearances for us before his injury. He's now 30 & cost us £6m. I don't know how you can argue he's anything other than a poor purchase. Alcaraz is seemingly made of glass & has brought his woeful injury record from Wigan to Goodison. Kone wouldn't get a sniff at any of the sides above us btw & you know it.
See, this is your opinion and mine is that they have not played enough games. You wont change my mind....as I said earlier, if they play 20 games and are not performing then I would agree. Big Vic is scoring goals, does that mean he is at a better club?
They'll never play enough games Phil, as they're both mince & one of them will spend most his contract with the physio. To be fair to Vic, he did well for us last season, primarily when used as a sub though, so I'm pleased to see him starting to do well at Albion. I'd prefer to see him on the bench than Kone tbh.
