Morning all. So we meet again with a place in the 1/4 finals of the FA Cup at stake. I've just started a match thread on the Saints Board so feel free to pop over for some banter.

Should be a great game with both sides coming into it in good form. I hope you are distracted by your Wembley appearance so I'm gong 2-0 Saints.

From my experience - lamballana has always been OK - but there are some pr1cks (see what I did there) from the Soton board!

Sadly I can't go on Saturday due to work commitments - will be watching online though! Looking forward to seeing Scocco play

Cheers! Every Board has some idiots but in my experience our Mods are pretty fair.

We are visiting my family in Sunderland at the weekend (great timing) so I am taking my little lad to the game and buying his first top. Live in Bedford so don't get chance to go up as often as I should. Really looking forward to it 3-1 to the lads.

You certainly have mate ........ one of them posted 'Dirty Northern Bastards', on here, and I replied 'in kind' on your board.

Your mods banned me which I don't find fair. Then one of the mods came on here to continue the argument which is ****ing childish in the extreme.

Never mind, you're a decent lad and obviously love your football <ok>

I'm really looking forward to this match, it's the first 'non pressure match' we've had for a while.

I'm looking forward to seeing some of our new & squad players ...... Scocco, Wickham, Vergini, Giacherrini etc should all be playing.

It should be an open entertaining game and I'm hoping for a good performance rather than a win.

We have enough fixture congestion and I'd rather give you 2 last minute penalties than go to St Mary's for a replay.

Tough game, and in truth one I'm not overly concerned if we lose.

League is paramount for us now, with being back in the bottom 3 it's reality time, and reality is that 2 cup finals in a season means **** all if we drop out of the league.

That said, some superclubs will be out, and the winner of this tie has a genuine opportunity.

So, Saints. ****ing good side, stepping away from the obvious players, personally think Clyne is the best R in the land, and it's a surprise to me that he's not an England shoe in yet.

Saints pass the ball around nice & tight, and as such will always have possession, seems they have kicked back into form just now, which is great timing.

For me, this looks like a 0-1, and I don't often say that, I just feel our focus will be elsewhere.

With last nights postponement, I just wanna get back to league games and sorting our **** out. I don't think we'll go down now, but **** do I want to see the points on the board.

Mind, if we do win, as always, I will be delighted.

I thin go all out. Scocco, Giacc, AJ and Borini as a front 4. Have Catts and Bridcutt holding. Give Ki and Colback a rest. A Solid 6 defending and 4 creative tricky players going forward.

I just hope he plays the likes of Ba and Mavrias, before the likes of Gardner and Larsson.

I totally agree ........... if it was during the transfer window I'd expect to see the likes of Gardner & Larsson 'on show'.

We currently have enough midfield players, in form, so they don't need to be kept totally match fit.

I'm not sure if either have ever been match fit tbh <laugh>

Defo mate, the other two missed their chance to engineer a move, they have no future, Ba Mavrias are our future and should play imo

That makes Chambers some player to be keeping Clyne out. Personally I think you will stay up. Just hope fat Sam is the one to go!

I'm basing my view on Clyne on right back to his Palace days when we were linked mate, not a handful of games ;)

Decent away fans can drink anywhere in Sunderland without any trouble ....... plenty of trouble is always available on request <laugh>

The nearest for the away section is the Colliery Tavern, opposite the ticket office and the Wheatsheaf is a 5 minutes walk.

Enjoy the game fella. Hope you have better luck than I did up there!
