Could be a good way to confuse the Arsenal players. If one of our players falls asleep on the pitch then Arsenal will automatically start making triangles around him instead of going for the goal...(Like Harlow Harpies round a handbag.)

Nah... we can't beat mid-table sides at home but believe we're still 3 points ahead of you :p

this game will be interesting. I can't fathom it.

there's revenge in the air, panic form all quarters. quality players around the pitch..

all in all it has the makings of a classic cup tie.

    I'd love a scrappy 1-0 win then thanks! <ok>

Question: what manager bought a player who only played 60mins for real madrid, playing him for 90mins every game and knackered him... oh yeah the genius french man

there but for the grace of god... if spurs keep shooting themselves in the foot like they have been doing they will end up ramoslike in the relegation zone one of these years.

I heard spurs said they had the experience for going for 4th.. i laughed.

All the best with sacking your managers and relying on adebayor after spending 100mil on ****e.

Think the game all depends on what side Arsenal put out. If they put out a strong side, I think we'll get a draw. They look devoid of idea upfront without Walcott's pace to get on the end of Ozil's passes.

If they play a weaker team which is what I suspect with Bayern coming after then think we'll win it. Either way, on current form, unless we gift them 3 goals (which is quite likely) then can't see us losing.

Think you've got that the wrong way round. IT matters far more what Rodgers and Liverpool decide about the targets that they wish to pursue. If they consider the Cup to have equal priority to the League then we will put out a strong enough side to win the game. If not then I can see us using the game to blood even more youngsters. But I'm not going to try and second guess their decision.

It must be something about being in North London. Both the Gooners and the Spuds have to salve their own insecurities by childish bombast.

Surely, if we have put out a strong against Oldham then we will do the same here. We have no midweek commitments so why rest players.
There may be one or two changes but this is a chance to progress. Winning here continues the momentum we need for the rest of the season.

Yes. You do it rarely and most of the time your posts are enjoyable to read and I like posting with you. But you do WUM every now and then (let's face it... most people do it however infrequently). But don't try and pretend you don't. And if you don't realise you're doing then... well... not much I can do. But being a moderator doesn't suddenly mean your (infrequent) WUM comments can be excused as something else. <ok>

Foredeckdave on the other hand. He's the inverse of you. You might write a WUM comment every 2-3% of your posts... FDD might write a non-WUM comment every 2-3% of his posts. Have a <rose> :emoticon-0152-heart

  18. There is a difference between a wum and joke comment. Smileys usually show said difference. Plus, you suggested you was repsonded to wum comments from me on here, I've not made one :p

Can see this being a typically tight cup game. Not much in it and, unlike a few of us on this thread, I definitely can't see us keeping a clean sheet with our current defensive issues. Hopefully Dagg er comes in for Toure and that should help our CB stability. Unfortunately, barring a minor miracle, I'm going to miss this game (most likely, anyway), as I', going to be shedded in Brussels for a mate's stag do! If we win, I'll try to do likewise in any subsequent games! <ok> #superstitionainttheway <laugh>

oh god no there is no way LFC is holding a clean sheet. it would be 10/1 in my mind for arsenal not to score.

I think its really down to hwo we press like utd stole form us and frankly how hard we make it for them with the CL coming.

I would simply low arsenal to play kids but he can't.
