Looks to have hit a decent bit of form in Belgium and the papers are trying to punt him. If he does come back which I would expect he would given our awful striking options do folks thinks he'll be ready to play in the CL or will we still be looking for another striker? Although, I wouldn't put it past Lawwell to accept a bid if we get one.
If they let Watt go permanently then it'll be a ****e bit of business. Gave Stokes a new 3 year deal though. Lennon's a tube.
The whole idea of sending him abroad was to make him grow up and concentrate on the football After a dodgy start it would seem he is doing just that Would be madness to sell him. Out of all our strikers he has real promise and ability. His reading of the game is unreal - some of the runs he makes shows he has a natural talent and most importantly he can finish. If he keeps his head down and works he can become a top player IMO. He seems to be doing what Lennon wanted him to do. So give him a shot next season. We are never going to buy a top player - we potentially have one on the books here
Aye fair enough, makes perfect sense until you factor in signing Leigh Griffiths for nearly £1m. If the club and our manager didn't contradict themselves at almost every turn you could accept that explanation. My theory is someone in the management staff has a personal issue with Watt.
If some kid called Pierre Van Kiddywinkler had just scored 7 goals in 5 games for a team like Lierse we'd have our scouts all over him. I doubt we'd sell - unless it's personal issues with the manager.
I answered it with my first sentence ya dick. The guy has pace, finishing ability and confidence. Give him an extended run in the first-team.
Apparently he's lazy - erm, and Stokes is a hard worker is he? Apparently he has an attitude problem - erm, and Leigh Griffiths is like Mother Teresa eh? Apparently he's scoring goals - erm, nah we don't have any strikers who do that.
Like most players we loan out I didn't really expect him to come back, but over the Christmas break in Belgium Lennon had persuaded Watt to go back for the rest of the season - I hope this was with a view to getting him out of trouble to concentrate on football and show he is worth a chance next season
All this. Sounds like he's knuckled down after behaving like a fanny for a while. Hope that he comes back and is given a chance next season.
Mind when Medro said he was a ****? Maybe that's why Lennon wants rid - he fancies him. Or is repulsed. But that'd beg the question why he was so in to Sammy. This is getting curious.
