Yes but he's behind Gerrard, Coutinho and Henderson because they offer more creativity and end product. Allen is a good 4th/5th choice (Lucas) midfielder for us
Suarez, Sturridge, Sterling, Coutinho nailed on for a spot when on top form (Sterling maybe not for the long run but certainly at the moment). Henderson and Lucas are vital too despite what some seem to think. Leaving one midfield spot up for contention, likely Allen or Gerrard or a replacement. Fighting for spots will be Suso, Aspas, Alberto, Borini, Assaidi, Ibe, (maybe Konoplyanka), Teixeira, and any youth we have. I might be forgetting someone. Of these, Suso, Borini, Ibe and Tex can make it. Hence why I did not want us to go for an attacking player in the winter.
"Leaving one midfield spot up for contention, likely Allen or Gerrard or a replacement." do we want a DM or CM/AM? what we ideally want is for Kolo to convince his brother to come here lol.
No thanks. We have a hard working team where everyone from the LB to Sturridge and Suarez up top track back tirelessly to fight for possession again. They never stop working. Yaya is a lazy git. Wouldn't want him anywhere near our team. Henderson's great for us because he offers what we need. Sterling's not a world beater but he gives us the real pace on the counter which we need. Allen too when he came back in in December was average, but pressed and passed so offered what we needed. Yaya's an over rated slacker, like many big name players at the big money clubs.
Every one from the left back to Sturridge aye! Its all coming up Ally. Joking aside though, Cissokho does work hard.
I was wondering if it was ever going to happen. I think its great it now has, the guy has a certain arrogance about him which i like.
I also wondered. Now lets see him build on it and hopefully he can grow in to the team. He has to prove a lot of people wrong, if he does he will be an inspiration to others.
Missed the game last night and thought I'd misheard the MOTD commentary... Brilliant that he's getting his chance, if he makes it we will play some seriously sexy football... Imagine Suarez, Cou, Sturridge, Suso, Sterling, Tex etc all interchanging... Could be wonderful.
Over half a team of attackers, plus Cissokho. Win them all 10-5! Did Texeira have Joa, Joa Carlos, Texeira or the full Joa Carlos Texeira on his shirt?
He had far more of the ball than I realised. Notice he soon got into the routine of not passing to cissokho whenever possible. Looks comfortable on the ball and an eye for a pass. We shall see over the next year or so.
Cissokho is slowly getting better, at least he's doing the simple things right now and looks solid enough defensively. It would of been easy for him to let his head drop but credit to him as he's fought back and shown some character.
