If we had Walcott in the team Ozil would be on fire, getting assists all the time. I think rather than blaming Giroud we need to look for more from our other players in terms of going beyond the striker. Hopefully Oxocube, Gnabry and Podolski will manage to provide this between them in Walcotts absence.

He got maybe 5% of the service compared to what Giroud got from Cazorla and Ozil who were both brilliant in the day. Whereas the ManU midfield was ****.

We looked most likely to score in the last 20 minutes when we totaly dominated and created a handful of the best chances of the game. Why would you risk messing up that momentum we had managed to build at the end of the game by putting on a striker that would mean changing the way we are playing....? If anything Bendtner on for Giroud would be the best optionif you simply had to take Giroud off. But tbh we lookedbest during that period of the game when your demanding we should havechanged things.

 

Seriously saying that header was easier to hit than 2-3 of the chances Giroud had? (He created that one too btw)


I like Giroud generally, he is good at hold up play, but the service he got all day he at least should have threatened. He didn't. every single attempt was pathetic.

Actually the only thing that looked like working was longer range shots a-la Cazorla. Podolski whilst not great positionally isn't shy of shooting.

I'd thought whilst thegame was on it would be good to get him on the pitch but Ozil and Cazorla where bossing the game at the end and the majority of our balls into the box where in the air from Sagna so i couldn't seehowhe could be fit in without changing the positive things about our play.
