The only good thing about this half is that it is has flown by.

Delighted we're going in 1 up, we're letting Newcastle in very easily so far. Either the defence was getting it wrong or the lino was. Kaboul's been good though, very sharp which I wasn't expecting.

All over the pitch it's been patchy, at times things have worked well and at times they haven't so it's hard to pick out any one thing in particular to change. I'd like us to play like we realise we're winning the game though, either pass the ball around with some patience or play a bit deeper and counter.

don't really know what to make of that.

looking a bit dodgy at the back in terms of positioning and the passing has been sloppy (once again). But other than that, it's not been too bad.<laugh>

It's NUFC who are playing the dangerous game, where do they think the are....at home?

We can dominate midfield if only we realised it.

Interestingly, given the praise that has fallen Liverpool's way this season, Tottenham will move level on points with them if tonight's results stay this way.

HIAG finally get a job at BBC Sport ?? :D

Fans of other clubs who come onto our pages must think we are such whingers! We are potentially 7 points off the top of the league and yet we still moan! The reason is we all know the potential of this squad and we want them to fulfil it. Not have another nearly season and then our best players bugger off and start all over again.

This is a classic 90s Spurs CM / back four display tonight.

  10. It's been open alright, but we have played some decent neat passing football - and at least we were up for it from the first whistle.
Kaboul has done ok on his return and has even added an extra dimension on the right side going forwards.
And certainly the prediction of an over-defensive midfield hasn't materialised.

If only we had a left back...........

  11. I'd love a job at the Beeb! Could you image that! I'd be able to wum Gooners, Chavs and Mousers with impunity.

Hard to know what to say about that first half. Very happy to be winning but our defence has looked absolutely shambolic at times.

Hoping for the usual second half improvement and that we can score 1 or 2 more to make it comfortable.

  14. Mousers have equalised.

Can see them going on to win that one.

Still, it's always to be hoped that Gunners will lose against United.

They're really not playing well though and this should have been comfortable quite frankly. Their defence has been unable to cope with out attacks and whilst their centre mids have been okay in getting a few passes over the top their wide players and strikers have been awful. I know they're at home and want to attack but we were making it far too easy for them to do so.

Another goal for us and I'll be able to enjoy the second drinking beer instead of grumbling :D

You're not plastic enough, HIAG. For example :

GOAL - Fulham 1-1 Liverpool - Daniel Sturridge (41 mins)

The mark of a team headed for the Champions League.

  17. I like to think that rival fans would come to love my ready wit. Yes, they'd know full well that I was on the wum, but they'd see the twinkle in my eye. Just like our rivals do, on this site.

  20. See, the way I would report that would be like this:

"What!!?? 'Pool have drawn level against the run of play. That's just about as undeserved a goal as you will see. I feel sorry for Fulham. Still, if that's how 'Pool think they are going to get top 4, I think Mousers up and down the land are going to be in for a major disappointment..."

    That kind of thing.

At least it would even things up with the kind of bollocks we get thrown at us by the likes of Lawro and Hansen.
