So the "board of directors" will decide MacKay's future, but who are they and what expertise do they bring. We know Graham Taylor and Stuart Timperley and the tremendous football experience they bring. But who are the others, and what gravitas do they lend to this position?
On the basis that it is the Club's Board of Directors (as opposed to the Parent Company Board) then its those two and David Fransen. Winter was on it. That may be it? The others that Bassini had talked of bringing in like the hairdresser are in the Company Board.
Oh God, why do things have to get so complicated? The "parent board or the club board" Jees and I thought things should be simplified as the club is "just a small business" not even SME!!!! I will look up the detail later.
I think its sending out bad signals the fact the owner of the club delcines Cardiff but still has to consult the board. Bassini says he wants MM to stay yet there are so many signs and misleading info that make me think their gonna let him go and are holding out for more cash. I feel Bassini is grinding WFC into the ground currently Ive not seen one positive thing since he arrived and my fear is he is moving his own debt onto WFC to benifit him, were on a very slippery slope. I pray we see some positive steps very soon.
How about some facts instead of emotive comments? The owner declined cardiff then quickly announce he was consulting the board and hoped the fans would understand this. Not a problem with this, likelihood is that either Malky said he wants to go (he may have been talking with Cardiff) or Cardiff changed their offer. We want Malky to stay if he's commited to the club however if his heart lies elsewhere then hes not as hornet and can go forth and multiply. We all wait for positives on the playing side but there have already been financial positives with the incoming revenue from Buckley and Danny as well as the initial cash injection to ensure we survived last season and the deposit in the bank to ensure we are ok up until next Mayy as long as the basic revenue keeps rolling in. Add to that the improvements in the pitch maintenance which OK is a stopgap but justified and you can't say we havent seen positives. It all feels negative because we've haemoraged a few decent assets 2 expected and if Malky goes 2 unexpected at this point. I'm not a Bassini fan but a Watford supporter and I'm frankly sick of the negative vibes from a few quarters, negativity tends to breed bad results in life and key to the clubs future is having positive vibes around the vic.
I don't agree Andy - he has not done any differently than we would have expected of almost any non-billionaire owner. Maybe he could have got a bob or two more for DG but given everyone knew the state of our finances the bids were just not there so we probably got roughly what we could. Why would an owner who is not an experienced football man NOT consult with his Board when it contains people such as GT - I would have criticised Baz if he had NOT consulted them I don't like Baz's track record before he joined us but I am prepared to only criticise his actions here when he does something "wrong"
MM is given permission to talk to Cardiff.......... Sigh. Thanks MM for all you have done for us, please dont over pillage us on your way out. Kind regards.
The Observer have just put out a report from the club saying Malky has not resigned (10 mins ago) there is nothing on there about him being given permission to speak to them??
Walesonline said MM has resigned, then he hasn't and a Buckinghamshire source said permission was granted to talk. WHAT IS GOING ON?
OK I've had the chance to look up "Watford FC Ltd", err not much to say because it has no trading history! Registered at 85 Oxford Rd, High Wycombe - an anonymous office building, the directors are listed as Panagiotis Thomas and Panos Thomas (in fact the same person!). Reminds me of Bassinin / Bazini. Sandra Parnell (the hairdresser granny) and Anthony Samuels (a property bloke) are also associated with the company. So when I went digging I found that Panos "the knee surgeon" lives in a modest ....... no let's be honest MISERABLE property in South Oxhey - that's no offence to the residents of said hamlet, but somehow you want one of the "esteemed custodians" of our club to be well heeled. But alas that just isn't the case. By the way there is also a listing for "Watford FC Used Vehicle Sales" which is owned by Darran John Barratt of a modest address in Aylesbury. Again a new company, err I wonder what they do???? Thanks must go to Hornette for offering to buy the club (if she wins the lottery)! It is clear none of the current bunch of custodians at the club have the means to be splashing around the kind of sums which some have ventured on these boards. In accounting parlance these individuals are valueless. End of.
I looked at Sandra Parnell and came up with her Facebook page. Not much of interest on there. Also discovered that her Register of Interests is out of date for the Council, since there's no mention of WFC. I wonder if that's been updated! Since being told she's related to our new owner, i've been trying to delve deeper, sometimes i'm like a dog with a bone lol..but so far nothing..bah humbug! ...anyway, all this gives me something to do when i need it, but proves nothing except there's nothing anywhere on any of her sites that mentions Watford. I don't think she's a fan
I guess you got that she's chair of Orr Shalom an Israeli childrens charity. Bassinis wife was also heavily involved in a charity. Theres a big Jewish element to this company board and a big likelihood of Israeli finance. If you want to get to the bottom of this it'lll be very tough!!!
yep, i got that...she has a lot of dealings with Jewish charities...and yep, lots of Jewish people involved now lol..oh dear! (i'm allowed, i'm Jewish! )
