If the worst happens comes May time and we end up playing championship football next season will you still go the home games? Yes (Even if Houghton is in Charge) No (If Houghton is in Charge) No (No matter who is in Charge) Yes (But only if there is a change of manager) Maybe (depends on who the manager is)
Spell his ****ing name right!!! It's Hootun for ****'s sake!!! And I sincerely hope everyone voted option 1 by the way
You're right of course, Dave. I just thought 'Haha' was rather a short post, so I filled it out a bit.
Did I stop going when we finished bottom of what is now Div 2 in 1957? - No. Did I stop going for several years in the 60's when the standard of football was diabolical and we never looked like ever getting promotion? - No. Did I stop going on the previous occasions we were relegated from the top tier? -No. Did I stop going when we ended up in Div 1 for the first time in 50 years? - No. I love watching football and am a Canary - win, lose or draw. I have been going for 63 years and will keep going until it becomes physically impossible and anybody who thinks differently should not , in my opinion, call themselves a Norwich fan. I moan like hell about them but, God willing, I know where I will be next year.
What sort of fan wouldn't go to to games because they don't like the manager? Edit: This makes it sound like I hate Hughton, I don't, but I think it would take the appointment if Roy Keane before I even considered not going to games in protest!
I will always show my support to norwich by going to games when I can, no matter who the manager is, no matter how we are playing, no matter how the results are going and no matter what league we are playing OTBC
Irrelevant poll really, though can understand the choices given the current circumstances. I will go whoever the manager is to support Norwich, simple as that.
Good answer, and the only sensible one really. 1950 sums it up nicely above. We may not like what's happening now (and we're all split on that of course), but we'll continue to show our support regardless. Disagreements aside, we're a pretty good bunch really
It's yes of course, may be even more often, as you would hope for a little looser tug at the purse strings. Please God, don't let it be Hughton though! Bah!
As some of you may be aware (not sure if I've mentioned before), I have no faith whatsoever in our manager or his coaching staff. YET, for once 1950 I agree with your entire post here. I even kept going all the time when Hamilton and also the Rodent were at the helm Yes I slag off the manager but it's only because I can see what he's doing to my beloved NCFC, through shrewd decision making, hard work and yes a little bit of luck perhaps along the way, we have made it back to the promised land. A golden opportunity was there to be had, the opportunity to shed off the 'little Norwich' tag and to establish ourselves once again as a regular top flight side. All we had to do was invest our new found wealth wisely on strengthening the squad which we did and then make sure we stayed well clear of the relegation zone. Very simplistic ? Well yes, after all every other club in the bottom half of the League is aspiring to the same. However, and here's the rub, we HAVE the players who are more than capable of finishing mid table IMO but we have a manager who is clueless, negative in the extreme, always puts out a side to try and 'not lose' rather than 'to win', and is completely narrow minded and rigid in his approach to a game. West Ham summed Hughton up in a nutshell for me, we were on top, looked the most likely side to win the match, so what did he do with 20 minutes remaining? Hmm, best put on some 'fresh legs' so we don't lose, let's take off the player who is causing West Ham's defence the most problems and the only player who looks like scoring. The rest, as they say is history, we get done by a sucker punch goal, our only effective attack on the night has been withdrawn, poor Ricky gets thrown on with 5 minutes to go and we end up losing another game which we should have put to bed by the 60 minute mark. In conclusion after saying all that, yes I would still go regardless because I bleed yellow and green. IF we are relegated as I think in all probability we will be now as we can't buy a goal let alone win, I will still pay my money and turn up at Carrow Road as I have done since 1971. OTBC ... CTI IHI-do not-T
Huh ? You and your self-righteous 'clique' do my head in. Even when I post what I believe to be a considered response I still get sneered at for my views. You know what Dave ? I really couldn't give a flying fig what you, munky, RBF et al think I, like chippy and one or two others on here, have a mind of my own and refuse to be bullied.
No bullying intended KIO, but when you try a comeback which misses by a country mile I will point it out! I've told you many times, apart from our conflict, I enjoy your witty posts, not seen you on the "association" thread for a while!
What I find irritating is although I'm not the only Hughton outer on here, I always seem to be the one taking the most flak. Ok, I'm probably not as well educated as most on here, was always a 'could do better' at school (I went to a 'comprehensive' after all).
