Ah - you mean the Scottish pound! Yes, we will be rich when we're no longer saddled with England's debt...
You wish....... The problem is that there would be no such thing as the Scottish pound if (as the SNP want), there is some such currency union with the UK pound. The value of this "conjoined pound" would be governed by the financial & fiscal policies of the UK (debt and all) without Scotland having any input. How independent could that be for Scotland?
I thought Plan A was to join the Euro. A few problems with that. Plan B was a currency union with the UK pound. Problems again. What is Plan C?
