get rid of 'troublemaker' Taarabt with 10 times more talent to bring in this well-adjusted young man..... That's our Harry! (Cue comical theme tune before tomorrows boneheaded scheme)
I read he had a hernia, not exactly something you can run off Anyway, I don't want a player who has his first name on the back of his shirt!
Sky sources reporting he will sign next Friday. Rather specific, so presume it will happen. He has a point to prove, so let's hope he manages to knuckle down and prove others wrong (to our benefit!!)
Well it appears normal loans are 93 days and if he starts before next Tuesday he would leave before the playoffs, so I think this is a wise move especially if he turns out to good. On the other hand looks like there is definitely no chance of Charlie or Matty making another appearance this season
Ravel the loan Ranger: Morrison to join high-flying QPR on emergency deal Midfielder will move to Loftus Road next Friday on 93-day loan Morrison would be eligible for Championship play-off final on May 24 He has ruled himself out of West Ham's plans, citing an injury But he is in line to make QPR debut against Charlton next Saturday He is the ninth player Rangers currently have on loan Simon Cass PUBLISHED: 15:14 GMT, 13 February 2014 | UPDATED: 15:41 GMT, 13 February 2014 QPR will tie up the loan signing of Ravel Morrison next Friday on a 93-day deal. Morrison's arrival has been postponed so he would be eligible to play in the Championship play-off final on May 24, should Rangers be in it. Morrison had ruled himself out of Sam Allardyceâs plans by claiming he is suffering from a groin problem, even though club medical staff assured the West Ham manager that playing with the âniggling injuryâ would cause no permanent damage. Despite the knock, Morrison is in line to make his debut for QPR in their match against strugglers Charlton a week on Saturday. Not operating at full capacity: Ravel Morrison (left) has been troubled by a groin injury +2 Not operating at full capacity: Ravel Morrison (left) has been troubled by a groin injury MORE LOAN RANGERS Players QPR already have on loan: Aaron Hughes - from Fulham Benoit Assou-Ekotto - from Tottenham Tom Carroll - from Tottenham Niko Kranjcar - from Dynamo Kiev Will Keane - from Man Utd Kevin Doyle - from Wolves Dellatorre - from Paranaense Modibo Maiga - from West Ham . The play-off precaution shows Harry Redknapp is clearly not taking automatic promotion back to the Barclays Premier League for granted, QPR having slipped to third in the Championship. Morrison will be the ninth loan player on the staff at Loftus Road. Only five can be named in a match-day squad. Discussing Morrisonâs recent lack of playing time, Allardyce said: âRavel is still complaining about a niggling groin problem. Listening to our medical team, there is no problem if he wants to carry on. He says he feels it occasionally and instead of gritting your teeth and getting on with it... he is not the type. âLots of players throughout the country will be playing with a similar type of injury that the medical teams say, âYou can carry on, it is not a problemâ.â The midfielder has not played since the second leg of West Hamâs Capital One Cup semi-final drubbing at the hands of Manchester City three weeks ago. It now seems he is on his way out of Upton Park at least in the short term, and a permanent departure in the summer cannot be ruled out. Despite not feeling fit enough to turn out for the Hammers, Morrison has refused a hernia operation to cure his groin problem. This does not seem to have scuppered his move across the capital. FOOTBALL LEAGUE LOAN RULES 52.2.1 A maximum of 5 loan Players (Standard, International, Emergency or Youth) can be named in the Players listed on a team sheet for any individual match played under the auspices of The League. This figure shall include any additional loan of a goalkeeper approved by the Executive under the provisions of Regulation 54. 52.2.2 No Club may sign more than 4 loan Players (Standard, International, Emergency or Youth) from another Club (or club) in any Season. An additional Youth Loan Player may be added to this figure. . Allardyce said: âHe has to decide whether heâs going for a hernia operation. At the moment he doesnât need it.â Morrisonâs short career has been full of controversy. He was shown the door at Old Trafford by Sir Alex Ferguson, despite the legendary manager saying he was the best 14-year-old player he had ever seen. Allardyce took a chance on the gifted youngster despite a past which includes convictions for witness intimidation and criminal damage. Morrison shone for West Ham earlier in the current campaign, scoring four goals, including a superb solo effort against Tottenham However, since the start of November he has struggled to maintain that form, scoring just once. Now, it seems the âsevere competitionâ for places at West Ham, coupled with his unwillingness to play through his groin issue means, in the short term at least, he is surplus to requirements at Upton Park. It remains to be seen whether Harry Redknapp can extract consistent performances from the talented but troubled midfielder. He's obviously got a lot of talent. Fingers crossed he plays well for us. We certainly need someone who can "spark" things.
The list of loanees named included Hughes. I thought we signed him on a short term contract. If he is on loan we are already in the s*** as we would have had 6 in the squad at Derby! So every week we will have to be paying four players who can't play for us. I'm sure there is some logic in that! As well as that, does Morrison fit our "right type" criteria or are we as flexible on that subject as the FA are with the "fit & proper" criteria for owners/directors?
I surmise that both Aaron Hughes and Nico Krancjar are both free transfers. I'm guessing - and hoping - that our club secretary has got these aspects covered. I seem to recall Marcus Bent had to remind old Uncle Neil that he was the 6th in the matchday squad; he probably lost his matchday squad inclusion bonus too......
Will give him the benefit of the doubt before I start complaining. Nelson and Dunne have pleasantly surprised us.
You know what they say... 'More reasons to shop at Morrisons' Has been said we need more creativity in midfield, could this put Niko to the bench?
