Morning - very chilly up here with no temperature yet. Snow predicted to sweep in during the morning, so I guess it will be sunny all day again....
Morning all, quite a bright start to the day here, with a couple of hours spent in the classroom coming up. Bet that by this afternoon when I am free it will be raining again.

Morning all The usual wet start here but the rain has just stopped so the drive up shouldn't be too bad apart from extra traffic because trains from here to London are disrupted. Mrs H's first husband lives on an island in the Thames. They all own armpit level waders which they have to wear just to get off the island at the moment. The house sits on stilts but the water level is now very close to the ground floor...and rising.
Only a wash and brush up today, extractions next week! You'll no doubt hear my screams wherever you are, I'm more scared of dentists than I am of spiders!
Just catching up.... Glad you have a diagnosis Gordon and good to have you back. I hope your treatment keeps you going fine. Thanks for the lattes & beers to those who bought a round. Mrs S wants one of those Nespresso machines so was taken to a very posh Nespresso shop on Edinburgh's millionaires shopping row (Harvey Nicks, LMVH, Calving Klien, Mt Blanc pens etc, you get the idea - you pay an extortionate amount of money to advertise their brands in the belief that it says something about you). Mrs S got me a free sample expresso which was horribly bitter (don't like coffee much anyway). Then off to JL to look at the same machines. I think this is all an expensive fashionable gimmick. In the evening we went to see the stage version of War Horse and whilst it was an excellent stage production with amazing puppetry (if you can call an 8 ft horse a puppet) it did not do it for me. Found the story a bit childish and they had this annoying narrator who sang in that dreadful nasal folky style which makes me want to scream. There was a lot of shouting so I could not pick up all the words as my hearing aids can't cope. Much preferred the film. On Sunday went to see 12 years a slave, an excellent but brutal film. Slave owners are no better than Hitler. How anyone can treat any living thing (human, animal or plant) in the manner is beyond belief. So that was my w/e, goes without saying it was raining most of the time.
Afternoon all from Jersey. It's dry now, but if I hadn't seen the news, I would've thought that we'd gone from being the warmest place in the British Isles to the wettest. It's the highest water level in the harbour since I moved here in 1996.
Morning all from a wet and miserable Weston-super-Mare! I have hospital today, hope I can get there and back without getting too wet! Have a good day!
