CCFC 2014-15 Season Tickets Holders have been given the opportunity to retain their season tickets provided they pay up by end of this February, otherwise they will be put out to the open market! Cheeky. Also price increase unless you've been a season ticket holder since 2009.!
Why are they doing that i wonder....Is it because they want to entrap them in case they go down to stop the glory hunters from disappearing like they do with most clubs who are relegated.. Tan is panicking..
Cheeky move in my view, though it serves a purpose if going down, also advanced revenue!................
Aye, like Ridsdale bluffed and conned his own fans to pay for season ticket in advance on the promise that the revenue would be used to sign new players.
Good marketing. Get the money in before relegation. If they are true fans they will buy. If they're not they may lose their chance. Sorts out the true fans from the rest. If current season ticket holders don't want to buy, then give others a chance.
Has nothing to do with being a true fan or not, as not all 'true' fans could afford to pay for it so suddenly. So do they then lose their right to renew?
I agree as a ST holder myself I will not be renewing mine in the South Stand next season as I can no longer afford it.
A significant price rise and where they'll be playing next year is undecided , forcing the issue by limiting the time they can buy I can't whats good marketing about that , they can't fill their stadium now in the PL and with a lot of empty seats last night I can't imagine there'll be a queue around the corner for them if they drop down .What's a true fan , one who embraced Tan's plan or those who by their principles stayed away because they didn't agree with him ?. .Although as with all other PL clubs the prices are far too high considering the gate money plays a small part of the revenue stream, Compared to us , we have had the better deal since we've come up and have continued to do so
yes, very cheeky by the board. one of you said the true fans will pay up but in this climate an extra £50 or so quid to drop down a division is poor form by the board. they've spunked enough money away on the rebrand not to need to do that. lurker, along with most on this board you dont go to matches, so pipe down...
That's life. People with no or little money have to miss out on lots of things. When I said true fans, take that to mean fans that have money and know they'll be renewing even if they get relegated. Yes, it's tough on fans that can't afford it. But if fans have the money, can afford it and still choose to wait, then someone else should be given the chance if they are ready to buy. That's what I was saying. Fans without money are a different issue. But I suppose if you can't afford it then you don't go. There are plenty of things most people miss out on because of lack of enough money.
The hard core like ourselves are roughly 15,000 so I can't see that being any bigger if the future is the C/ship for them ,plenty of seats left for the walk ins though .
Wow that club really know how to **** on their fans. First they are left with an ultimatum - change to red or I walk and you're ****ed. Then they tell them season tickets are going up by £100 regardless of what division we are in. Now it's either buy now or lose your seat. Not to mention the lies about the 100m 'investment' which just turned out to be loans. Ask yourselves Cardiff fans, was it really all worth it for one season in the premier league?
Now Now. I would like to see our Mad Tan's redbirds survive and stay up so we can play them again and win 3-0?
very charitable LNB. to answer your question swans - m, no. we'll see, it'll be a low points total to stay in this league, and although ticket prices in recent years have been very reasonable (roughly £17 concessions for an individual match in the championship), this takes the biscuit. living away from cardiff i have a spare season ticket at home which i will have used roughly 8-10 times this season, but it really does take the piss. if we go down it'll be 17,000 attendances and plenty of tickets to go around. stay up and there'll still be tickets available.
Bap sorry to here that mate, why don't you share the cost with a mate or family member, and share the games? Better than nothing, and half the cost of your season ticket too, just a thought.................
Yes me too but instead of buying 3 ST like i always do i now only have to buy 2 (Birthday presents) as i wont be going to that many matches if any at all next season....
