A simple question. A chance for the optimists, the pessimists and the splinter merchants to predict our seasons total. I am going for 89 points
That should be enough any other season but maybe not this. Forest Leicester and Burnley surely can't keep this up!!
First ten games we got 26 points. Next ten we got 16. Assuming we beat Reading (dangerous thing to do I know) we will have gotten 17 from the last ten games. So looking at those figures, we performed exceptionally well in our first ten games of the season getting 8 wins and two draws, but the next twenty games only produced 33 points (see above re Reading!) If our form of the last twenty persists we will get 29 points from our remaining games which would see us on 85 points. Probably not enough for an automatic spot but definitely in the playoffs.
Current points 56 Wins against Reading, Leeds, Birmingham,Yeovil, Blackpool, Forest, Millwall, Barnsley - 24 points Draws against Charlton, Middlesbrough, Wigan, Blackburn, Watford - 5 points Defears against Wednesday, Brighton, Bournemouth, Leicester Total of 85 points. To go up automatically we would need to turn three of the draws into wins & possibly two of the defeats into draws.
It would be good to win a playoff final at Wembley. A bit of optimism and pessimism all in one statement.
We'll do well to hit 80 with this shower, a strong run from Wigan or Brighton and we could be struggling to make the play-offs...
I can't find the predictor either!! I get us to 88 points. May well be enough for 2nd. Going to be very tight and I'd predict we'll probably be in the play offs.
Over the past 3 seasons 88 points have been enough to get either 1st or 2nd! Plus 88 points was enough for at least 2nd in 7 out of the last 9 seasons.
I hope my signature turns out right so I'll go for 88 points too. But as the play off winner often does well in the Prem I wouldn't mind a day out at Wembley and a huge win.
Just noticed there are some interesting games coming up between our rivals. If (and I know it is a big IF) we win the next three games things might start looking a lot more positive.
On the money 100% I believe that also, I also believe that we will slip past them all when it really counts
