Newcastle at home to spurs. Manure away to arsenal. Good things could happen tomorrow.

I agree. I also think we need more quality to compete with Lallana, Davis and Rodriguez. Maybe Ramirez can do that, he was starting to look better before he got injured.

Also we had possession on the break in the Hull half and Guly put the ball out which was returned in a dicey part of the pitch for Boruc, so I think we give him the benefit of the doubt on this one.

Listen, I agree with most of your comments about the matches and think you frequently get it spot on but to be fair you do sometimes go around this board as if you rule it belittling those that disagree. Now I don't want to get into another argument with you and I think both Joe and yourself add a lot to this board, so let's show a bit of humility and be happy with a good win tonight :).

I think we will go for more of a deep forward because if you look at the way we play we don't have an archetypal striker on the last defenders shoulder or a target man. This is one reason Lambert does not score as many goals from open play as he plays a lot deeper with his back to goal.

Ah, the "I was joking all along" defence, delivered in an entirely unfunny and arrogant manner. The irony is astounding. With a Vic Reeves avatar, no less. I hope this is all on purpose.

Yeah, that's what really intrigues me. We have a supremely aggressive midfield that wins the ball back high up the pitch. We have two aggressive wide players in Lambert and Rodriguez. Add a quick, direct striker and we could be a nightmare to play against.

Speaking of...anyone notice that Mourinho mentioned Lukaku in the context of young players they stockpile that might not break into the team, but could be sold for a profit to comply with FFP? We have your profit over here, Jose.

Just to echo Odd's post - Joe & Vin are two of the better posters here - let's not drag this down on a winning night.

    Big kisses all round please.

Presume you mean Lallana & Rodriguez?

But yes - the ideal Rickie replacement is absolutely Lukaku, but it'll be one hell of a fight to get him methinks!
