Really disappointing. We couldn't string more than a few passes together. I think that was down to a combination of their pressing, every time we did get away they fouled us and poor decision making. This makes the Cardiff match crucial not to lose, I was hoping we could build some momentum tonight.

TOugh one to take but Soton are a cut above at least 10 teams here, so if we carry on we'll be alright against the other teams around us.
I know that's probably a polite platitude rather than a serious assessment of the game - but it really wasn't a good game. A decent performance by Saints, yes, but not a thriller for any neutrals out there, and certainly a depressing night for home fans.
In a strange way, the gulf in class was that apparent, it made defeat easier to take. Naturally, I feared a tough match, but we were floor wiped totallissimo... 0-1. Still, no reason to be too despondent – they and six other teams are miles better than us - just hope So’ton give it the same to our relegation rivals and good luck to ‘em.
Deserved to lose. They're a much better side. Shouldn't put too much emphasis on this result - the next three are massive though Hope Aluko starts against Cardiff, we need linking play for Jelavic.
