Shoul not look to spend money on anything but a defender and livermore. Try and get some free transfers lined up to bulk out the squad
(a)Get Livermore signed..(b) Replace Figueroa (c) Back up for Rosenior (d) Replace Koren (Parker?) (e) CH (Caulker?). I'm assuming Fulham and Cardiff are relegated.
What have you based that on? The last thing we need is another striker. We have Long, Jelavic, Sagbo, Fryatt, Aluko, Brady and Boyd who can all play as strikers, why on Earth, given what we spent in January, would we buy ANOTHER striker? Fryatt is fine as 4th choice.
My business would be new deal for Fryatt/or new back up striker. Livermore on a permanent. A new 'starting CB' to replace Faye and compliment Chester and Davies with Macca or Bruce as cover. A new 'starting LB' with Figueroa as back for LB and CB if needed. A RW and/or AM alternative for Elmo and replacement for Koren/back up for Aluko Assuming we keep most of the squad who are currently in or around the first team
Funny how people do that. In all seriousness, I didn't include him because I don't think he'll play for us again. I expect he'll be moved on in the Summer. In fact, I don't think he's setting the world alight at Barnsley either. Although he has scored already for them, so maybe they'll try keep him.
Yeah, I expect he'll go back to Germany. Would be interesting to see if we can put him in as part of a deal for a German club's player.
Whilst you are entitled to your opinion You dont have talk alot of rubbish. Thank god your not Brucie ffs. Yeah. As if you know anyway. True. But i think that Dudgeon will be given time as he is young and is a quality player when fit. He is worth the time for sure. Not by PL standards he isn't and btw.....he is a good finisher. What he needs is games and hopefully his time @ Barnsley will get him going one way or another.
You banged on about him all last summer when we were never going to sign him, please don't do it again next summer ffs.
I was not alone is saying that. Just because you dont think so. Who SB will go after will be kept a close secret. As for Rhodes he was discussed. As for this summer we only just need tweeking here and there. But without a doubt Jake Livermore will be No.1 priority.
I think we will have to take a look at the goalkeeping situation. Obviously McGregor will be number 1, but with Jakupovic and Harper out of contact in Summer, we could do with another goalkeeper to provide competition with Oxley (assuming Brucey is impressed enough with his loan spell at Oldham - he's doing really well there). Maybe Marek Stech at Yeovil.
It's based on should Jelavic get injured we have no direct replacement who could fulfill his role. Utilising any of the existing options would be a huge compromise. If Fryatt isn't getting game time he won't be around for much longer I suspect. That said Livermore on a permanent has to be the no. 1 priority
The GK are sorted. Jakupovic could well end up @ Orient in the summer if they are promoted. Harper has triggered another year already which i like. We are good on GK and Mark Oxley as you say uis doing well and maybe we can get him out on loan to a championship club next season. Harper IMO can stay for the another 2/3 years at least. The man is quality both on and off the pitch.
No need for a striker unless it is one on loan. Livermore is the most important spot. After that a defender, someone to replace Koren, maybe a winger. We have loan spots to help fill the holes. Would be nice to do our best to balance our budget this coming season. I think with the 2 strikers we have a team that can stay up again.
Well with Turner - Larsson and Beausejour all free agents in the summer that would be a good start. Agreed that we dont have to spend as much as this season Transfer fee wise. As for loans ? well now that is the interesting one. I wonder if we can take Harry Kane and Tom Carroll out of Spurs along with Livermore ??
I always thought Beausejour was a ****ter version of Figueroa, but I could be wrong. A young loan star wouldn't be a bad shout, especially if we get Livermore permanently. Yaya Sanogo from Arsenal would be a good choice as a 4th striker and at his age probably wouldn't command a lot of wages. I didn't realise Harper had been given another year, so that's alright as I imagine Oxley will be third choice and Jakupovic will leave.
I don't understand the mindset of some people on here. Some(not all) in 1 breath say we are in a relegation fight, and in the next breath, we only have to by a RB and aMF or what ever. If we are in a relegation fight, to stay in the Premier League next Season we need to spend as much as we possibly can afford to spend and try to improve in every department, other wise we will be in that old relegation fight again next season. I want to see City in the Premier League as long as I possibly can, and I'm hoping that the Allam's or whoever they may possibly sell to have the same desire. edit: We will stay up this season
