Thanks for that, mate. Appreciate your input. It's difficult to assess your own behaviours objectively when you've got the blinkers on & are at boiling point.
No worries. Just want to see the site go back to what it does best and talk about Leeds and football. Onto 3 pts tonight. (Its not about how hard we hit, its about how hard we can get hit and keep moving forward. How much we can take and keep moving forward, thats how winning is done. )
hemase - I totally agree with most of what you say, one point I would like to make though... When you are being trolled or abused it is easy to say ignore or switch off the computer (or exit the forum) but why should you? Why should you switch off your PC and not enjoy the genuine debates and discussions, how many members compared to regular posters does this Leeds board have? How many go to write something and stop for fear of being jumped on by the same person and their opinion picked to shreds. I can honestly see where you are coming from but shutting the page down and ignoring and not participating for fear of being on the end of abuse should not be an option
I agree Ristac. I only suggest turning the computer off as an option, I would personally ignore any abuse for some of the reason I have already mentioned and for this reason below- The trolls, wums and bullies set out to get a reaction. Their day is made when they get it and especially when that response is anger. Starve them of those responses and they will soon get tired of coming on here. As I have already said I tend to skip over Bobby Hatfields posts and comments as they offer very little to real debate and conversation. I hope I do not come across as holier than thou with my comments but I have had a lot of experience with bullies in my life and have learned from my experiences. (Its not about how hard we hit, its about how hard we can get hit and keep moving forward. How much we can take and keep moving forward, thats how winning is done. )
I must admit I just sit here and chuckle when anyone has a go. It's only handbags on here. Then again I am used to bike forums, where the threat of physical violence is an everyday issue.
Bearing in mind I am only seeing Elmo's posts if someone quotes them could a mod pm me and explain how the post that caused the above reply was allowed to stand in the current circs? Bearing in mind it was one of the holy trinity that did it.
Why do you doubt it, he is Leeds-through-and-through? [Trying hard to wind up Shako, sensing I am not succeeding though! ]
