He appears to be making the point that our "high-energy midfield" doesn't always make things too difficult for opposition midfielders.

Heisenberg, just wanted toa ddress one point of you're excellent summary:

DOn't think we'll be "marking" Huddlestone. One of our refreshing hallmarks is that we don't worry about the opposition. Even against City we just played our own game, kept the ball, and did our thing - don't think we'll be out to stop Huddlestone trying to play

I never said that though. I said it made things difficult for Huddlestone. Which it did.

It did, but won't necessarily do so again. It's inconsistent like that.

Well we'll see. Considering Huddlestone is one of the least mobile midfielders in the league, I perceive him as particularly vulnerable to it.

If they're fit enough, I think I'd play Wanyama, Chambers and JWP tonight. (Almost said Guly too, but no....)

Keep Clyne, Davis and either Cork or Morgan back for Saturday.

It'll be interesting if Gus decided to do something similar tomorrow. Whilst they clearly need PL points much more than we do, it is a trip to the Etihad. Realistically, is there really any point? Depends on how desperate they are to progress in the FA Cup I guess. Certainly, if I were a Sunderland and it were a home league game on Saturday, I'd be wanting Gus to put a weakened side out tomorrow.

    So then...

    - a draw sends us 8th (albeit potentially for a matter of hours if Spurs don't beat Newcastle)
    - avoiding defeat equals a record eight games unbeaten (in all competitions)
    - Jack Cork could make his 100th appearance for Saints tonight

    Carrow Road.

Narrowly lost 7-0 at The Etihad.

One of those 7-0's that coulda gone either way?

In all seriousness, remember us beating Wolves 6-0 at their place when we were roughly as good as they were?!

Afraid of that as well...if we win, I'm guessing it will be a 1.0.

Hull have a bad attack and a good defence. Expect a 2-2!
