Alan's given these comments in the Press Conference before his 150th game in charge:

Alan Pardew: Manchester United result 'cheered me up'

Newcastle United boss Alan Pardew says he was "cheered up" by Manchester United's 2-2 draw with Fulham and aims to finish above David Moyes' side this season.

The Magpies will be hoping to close the four-point gap to the champions with victory over Tottenham Hotspur at St James' Park on Wednesday night in what will be Pardew's 150th game in charge of the club.

Pardew says he has enjoyed 90% of his time at Newcastle and wants to give the fans the trophy they "thoroughly deserve" before his 200th game at the helm.

We'll 50 games is the target for a trophy

We're all hoping for a trophy, he'll have to buck his ideas up if we're going to win one though.

And I'm hoping to win the multi rollover Euro Millions jackpot, become Newcastle's new No.9 in their Champions League winning team AND be the main star in Star Wars VII.

I hope Mrs ACS knows that.

    She may do soon.

Of course for a little consideration she may not.

If every team in the top 6 fcked up as badly as Man U have this season, we'd have an outside chance of finishing in the top 4.

Still, looking forward to seeing the balance sheet in April - that'll show all of 'em. They should definitely give out a trophy and probably a spot in the CL for the team with the most profits. Dead serious.

It's a joke that he's even said this and proves he is a liar.

Ashley doesn't value the cups which means Pardew cant afford to attempt to win one. If he plays a strong team and we pick up injuries and then drop down the league that's the sort of thing that will cost Pardew his job. Next season will come along and Vuckic, Tavernier and Co will all get their yearly run out, we'll lose again to lower league opposition and be told it's to focus on the league and a push for a top 6-8 finish.

January will come, we'll get an offer deemed too good to turn down for a key player such as Krul, Tiote etc and then be told there's no time for a replacement. We'll finish mid table and then we will rinse and repeat this method for every single season that Mike Ashley remains the owner of our club.

There is absolutely no evidence to suggest that anything other than this will happen.

With mike Ashley in charge this will never happen as we all know fat mike is only interest in making money.

Cup football just is an additional cost
    To him.

So for him to come out and say we need to win a trophy is pointless

Its like me saying I want to enter my dog in chuffs but my wife has sold him

There's always the Northumberland Senior Cup.

Maybe you should get a certificate signed by Fergie if you finish above Man Utd.
