Switzerland: quotas capping immigration and the collapse of the EU

It's protectionism for the local population. One of the problems with the modern day western state is that every citizen believes they have won the lottery of life, having born in a country like Britain a Government will protect them from all harm and if they have any problem in life they just need to push the big red button of Government and it will be fixed for them - and of course then we have to listen to mega beel every time the Government doesn't stop something bad happening ("a river just flowed into my below-sea-level house, therefore David Cameron is a ****").

The biggest problem with migrants, from a native point of view, is that they often tend to be better than the natives - creating annoying competition for resources. If you just look at the education figures for many first and most second generation migrants you'll see they are running away from the white British working class (In England about 58% of pupils achieved five GCSEs at A to C grade, including English and maths, in 2010/11. White British students were almost exactly on that average figure, 80% of Chinese students and 75% of Indian students achieved the same thing). As I said there is a cultural issue where some people think they have a 'right' to exist at a certain comfort level and not getting a good education is not the worst thing in the world, while half the immigrants grew up in **** holes and know it's their own responsibility to go out and obtain a comfort level for themselves. Of course don't tell this to the likes of Tobyesque left, the answer there is just to take money off the people who are doing things for themselves and give it to the under performing ****ers who moan about brown people taking all the jobs.
