So if I manage to beat Bandit this week and level the group, what's the tiebreaker? Ever the optimist...

Surlyc has thought of everything! I'm now thinking he's some sort of slick lawyer and not an accountant...

It is possible to draw group games. Three points will be awarded for a win and 1 for a draw. Groups will be decided by (in order): game points, ""Fulhamish" points (any bonus points earned from Fulham links), total points and finally a coin toss.

Be careful Bandit - not just for your cheekiness! If the match is postponed we won't get any points for Liverpool or Fulham players this game week. I'm worried as I've got 3 Liverpool, 1 Fulham and 3 players that are injured or won't be selected to play. I'm in danger of recording the lowest ever GW score!

As things stand I will lose 4 Fulham/Liverpool players, plus one likely real-life absentee. Mind you, I'd trade that if it meant getting Mitroglou fit one match earlier.

Can't argue with Lawro's opening comment....

What has been going on at Fulham is just daft. Since Martin Jol was still manager and they appointed Rene Meulensteen as head coach to work alongside him in November, things have gone from bad to worse at Craven Cottage. Now Meulensteen has gone and Felix Magath has been parachuted in. Magath is expected to keep them up, and he has got 12 games left to save them, but he arrives at a club which is in a right mess. For me, the decisions which have been made in the last few months have been the main reason they have plunged to the bottom of the table quicker than anybody else. They also keep conceding goals by the barrel-load.

West Brom look a bit short of firepower up front but I am still backing Pepe Mel to get his first win as Baggies boss.

    Lawro's prediction: 2-0

Katy B's prediction: Being a Palace fan I need this one to be a draw. 2-2

The Cottage Cup - round three
So here it is and the group stage is over. It actually turned out a little closer in some groups than anticipated and we had some fun results too.

    The round three results:

I want to start the round up in group A, where we had a truly Return of the Jedi performance as Riley Stoke United took the lightsabre to Darth WhatDoesWoyWant aka Riley's Dad. Enjoy those family bragging rights, kid! Special attention to group E where erstwhile White Steven Davis rescued a point for Ciall Nonnolly's XI, although his team fell one agonising point shy of taking the game and the group.

Also a creditable performance for Moussa Dembele who sealed the win for Legen-waitforit-dary in group C, although the group was already won by Louise's Legends. Lastly a Fulhamish performance from FFC_Madness sealed a win and the group through his confidence in Fulham's finest. Somewhat embarrassing for me, as none of my Fulham connections managed to produce a single point through the two games.

Congratulations to our group winners and commiserations to those who fell short. Extra congratulations to FFC_Madness and Fred's Boys who won their groups with Fulhamish points, despite gathering the fewest points overall.

We have three rounds left in the competition now and the draw for the quarter finals is as follows:

    It's A Taarabt! v By The River
    FFC_Madness v Stella Turtles
    FantasyFootieClub v Louise's Legends
    Tootif v Fred's boys

This will played this gameweek, so I hope that a strong result at West Brom Albion will pay double dividends for all those teams left in the competition. COYW!

As I've made it through to the quarter finals of the Cottage Cup, I thought I'd better publish the informally agreed prizes for this season (in case I win and it looks slightly dodgy - no doubt, that's my cue to get knocked out next round)!

Note; the prizes are agreed but unconfirmed at this stage. Marathonbet are checking their inventory and looking into possibilities of getting shirts signed, availability of tickets etc.

    So here goes.....

    Premier Fantasy Football League
    What: Overall league
    When: GWs 1 to 38
    Prizes
Winner: A pair of Hospitality tickets for a Fulham game of the winners choice.
    1st Runner-up: Signed Fulham shirt
2nd Runner-up: Tour of the cottage

    The Marathonbet Trophy
    What: Highest gameweek score
When: Achieved during any gameweek over the season
Prize: A pair of Hospitality tickets for a Fulham game of the winners choice.
    Winner: tbc

    The Steve Sidwell Shield
What: Bonus points for poor discipline
    When: GWs 3 to7
    Prize: Tour of the Cottage
Winner: SBM Legion (Super Brian McBride)

    The Cottage Cup
What: Bonus points for current and former Fulham players
    When: GWs 22, 23, 25 (group stage) and 27, 28, 30 (knockout)
    Prize: Signed shirt
    Winner: tbc

    The Zdeněk Grygera Bowl
What: Bonus points each week for players whose names start with the two random letters for that week
    When: GWs 32, 34, 35, 37 & 38
    Prize: Tour of the cottage
    Winner: tbc

In addition, Marathonbet would like to continue their sponsorship of our Fantasy Football League next season (with similar prizes) and their staff would like to join the league (we can have some sort of sponsors v fans cup).

    Good luck everyone!

Surly & Bobby the effort that you have put into this is fantastic - and I say that as a non-participant. You deserve huge credit, both of you.

Your work has persuaded me that next year I should throw my hat into the ring and embarrass myself on a weekly basis.

    This. Thank you both.

Surly, would you also be kind enough to re-post the 'round three results table' please. For some reason I can't see it in your original post.

    Hello,

Smokin stack in the Board Room yesterday. Spitting bricks they were at me swopping that bairn, Bernie-whatsit, the West Brom striker for the Fulham Grecian one before today's game.

And even said, any swopping boyo should have been this guy -

A slightly disappointing round for our Fulham lads this week as no games were decided in Fulhamish fashion. Special mention to Fred's Boys though as Liam Rosenior set a new record by accumulating 18 Fulhamish points by himself. In fact Fred's Boys make the last four despite being mired in 22nd position in the league. A nice little cup run there, although it's a tough draw now against the team third in the league. It's A Taarabt! has the slightly more dubious record of being the highest cumulative scorer to date... and having scored no Fulhamish points at all.

The semi final line up is as follows:

    Louise's Legends v It's A Taarabt!
    Stella Turtles v Fred's boys

These games will be this game week - make sure to rest those Man City players and may the most Fulhamish of you concede a late goal and draw!

    The Marathonbet Trophy - update

And a little look at the current leading scores in the Marathonbet Trophy...

    1. Ciall Nonnolly's XI - Gameweek 14, 104 points
    2. Stella Turtles - Gameweek 1, 94 points
    = Brad'sBelters - Gameweek 14, 94 points
    4. Enter the Frei - Gameweek 14, 93 points
    = Life of Pies - Gameweek 16, 93 points

Special mention to Nic's team, who posted the 8th highest score (90 points) this week just one week after posting a league record -7 points. Now's that's consistency a la Fulham 2013/14.

So what do we think? Do I have a new career awaiting me at Marathonbet, or should I stick to my day job?
