Ok, so we lost on the weekend to another promotion contender ...........so what?
Also, seem to have to have 'only just won' many a game throughout the season ............ so what?
We can also add a number of injuries, a few of them, long term ........... so what?
Not to mention the lack of 'big buys' during the transfer window .............. so what?
Now there's talk of players on the move at the end of season, maybe the manager as well .............. so what?

Well, for my money ................... I live on the other side of the world and apart from reading the papers, forum etc, I'm not 'in the know' with what is really happening with the team / club.

Truth is, if I'm honest ............... I'm happy just to sit back, view things from a distance and realise that my favourite team in the world is still sitting in third place.
Not too shabby really when you consider all the 'dramas' we have endured throughout this season, so if and when my team clicks into form, the remainder of the season will hopefully be a pleasant one, even with another 100 or so 'dramas' to pad out the season.

    No, it's not all bad.
Let's face it, it is not the QPR way to do things easy anyway is it.

Wholeheartedly agree mate, obviously we see things from a different perspective over here and I think it's all looking pretty good, whether we go up this season or not it's a lot better than the Wolves style free fall that I thought might happen.

I agree that this board is prone to over reacting after a defeat, but would you not agree that Harry got the starting line up totally wrong...........again?

It is not the loss, that is depressing...it is the way the team was set up in first half that got to me

But, as said else where...easier games to come...Things are now getting easier to visualise and think through now.
All home games must be won...including Reading and Forest.
Away games against lesser opposition must be won...and others can be drawn... a few can be lost.

From now on we have to go out to win matches....and we have the players to do this...he has bought/loaned 4/5 players to do this

My only worry is that Arry cannot see this

Good OP and some much needed Aussie chill factor.

Pretty gutted last night to lose to a team whose game plan was to be as physical as possible, try and get Barton sent off and hope for a fluke goal which they got.

The second half showed what this team is capable of. We outplayed them just about at every turn and the final stats showed 57% possession to QPR. Maiga was a gnat's whisker away from a deserved equaliser.

That is only our 5th defeat in the league though I grant that those who point out that we have not beaten the top teams do reveal a valid concern.

The nature of football is that there will be games that you lose and don't deserve to but equally there are games you win that you probably don't deserve to either. This season we have had far more of the latter than the former.

If the rumour is true that the team were locked in the changing room for a time, I see that as a positive with the question being asked, "How on earth did we lose that game?". Hopefully hands help up and some honest talking.

Plenty of points to play for. One swallow does not make a summer. Neither does one loss make a disaster of the season.

Wise words. No getting over the disappointment of both the set up and performance. No play maker, no penetration, very few crosses, panicky when being closed down etc.

I hope lessons are going to be learnt from this-thats all.

Agree of course Col .. if you are going out to contain then very important not to concede ... we did two up top and no service for them. Henry had to start for me so as to grip the game from the off and then replace him as and when. He uses Henry to shut up games but never was there a perfect player for the game last night than Henry ..was he carrying a knock have i missed something?

Its our performances that are getting to me. We don't deserve to get promoted playing the tripe we are playing.

    Top thread AussieQPR,

If we beat my local team the trolley boy's (that's what I call em due to Waitrose on shirts) all will be back to normal on this board.

I personally think we are not ready for prem footy just yet and I do feel for the ST holders who pay good money to be entertained but I'm not grumpy about things at present.

At least for once we are not continually flirting with administration and the worries of will there be a QPR to support next season for a change.

I know it's never been easy being a QPR fan but I would not change it for the world so chin up lads and lasses.

    We are QPR.

What confuses me is that he was heavily critised for his starting line up but in most cases this season he does see the problems and makes changes at half time hence why we generally have a better second half.
People were saying Traore should have started after last weeks performance, which I agree with. However, most of us didnt want him near the first team at the start of the season but Harry has improved him. Last night was poor, seemed to lack that team spirit I saw against Reading. My worry is that Carroll has to start as part of his loan deal but im afraid there is so little end product with him. He is always too close to Barton on the pitch making us even more narrow.
    Anyway just a few viewpoints

Henry was fit as far as I know. The plan was obviously to contain and counter attack, hence the two forward I presume. But we were set up all wrong for this. We needed Traore and Hoilett out wide, with Barton, Carroll/Jenas and Henry in the centre. This way we would have controlled the game from the off in midfield and been able to use the width of the pitch to break with pace. Kranjcar looks unprofessionally unfit to me so I wouldn't pick him. It ain't rocket science is it? You know it, I know it.......FFS why doesn't Harry?

Simple fact is, you can't play a defensive game and plan to hit on the break with a team that has absolutely no pace in midfield, or at full-back.

Was worried when I saw the line-up and expected the performance. It was a virtual carbon copy of the Blackpool game (which I attended) without being able to bring on Philips.

O Neil has the pace of an Oak tree and is not a winger. Hoilett is toilet. Never takes on his full-back. I'd rather see SWP back on the right than either; or a youth player eager to impress.

I've tried to support HR all season but that performance was predictable given the team selected.

I thought we looked much better after the introduction of Hoilett.....it certainly wasn't down to Maiga!
