Is it the vocal minority or a larger proportion of you talking rubbish?

Nolan was the heart & soul of your team, you did not win one of the games he missed this season.

As for Demba Ba im not particularly sure there was any real interest in him. I cant remember if it was Quinn or Bruce, but one of them mentioned us having interest in him before he signed for west ham. But he failed a medical which was a bit suspicious.

Ben-Arfa I don't know where the love affair comes from. He has hardly played, and mags are constantly going on how hes amazing and the next big thing. Hes going to do this, do that and score this many goals. He has achieved messiah status without hardly kicking a ball.

The player was detested at OM, his nickname was the cancer. They couldn't believe their luck when they got shot of him. He would play 1 good game in 10, then if he didn't start he would go in a huff.

Anyone who watches football will know that Ben arfa is a class act. The other mackems on this board will also sign off on this.

I'd suggest he has the potential to be a class, class act. I don't know if it can decidedly be stated that he's there just yet.

Going on the players we currently have at our club is where my opinion is coming from really. The guy is a game changer.

You might be right. I've only seen him play three or four times so can't state with any certainty how good he is or not. Shows flashes though.

Rade Prica scored on his debut, where is he now

I will take the word of OM fans that have actually seen him play.

Ba ! we should be after Pavlechenco, Van nistleroy, Drogba or offer £18 m for Danny wellbeck, and try and get Jones back and Danny collins. And as for Nolan i am glad he went because he wont be facing us next season.

Agreed, those guys will have seen him at frequently at first hand and are perfectly placed to make an informed judgement from first hand experience.

I watched him play for OM and he was quality for them. The fans might be bitter and his attitude might not be up to scratch but when firing on all cylinders is one hell of a player which is why decamps wanted to keep him.

:/ Deschamps couldn't wait to get rid, he probably would have driven him to the airport if he knew Ben Arfa was coming here had he asked the clubs permission.

Deschamps wanted him to stay, said it openly but he wanted to leave so his hands were tied.
Anyhow, this is the beauty of opinion, if we all agreed, life would be boring. I'm just glad he is a newcaslte player

I stated a few days ago that I disliked Nolan, not because of his ability but because he embarresed us, so I am honest there.

Would love Demba Ba to sign for us yes but if you get him then good luck to you.

I'm sick & tiered of all the bickering. Men are dying in Afganistan for Gods sake, I've been guilty of it in the past I admit but theres too much hatred in the world as it is.

Not looking for a love in like but some of us on both sides need to grow up otherwise we will end up polarised like it is in Northern Ireland, been there, seen sectarianism first hand & I don't want that situation here.

I wouldn't bring my kids up to hate another kid just cos he happens to support Newcastle. Remember, there's no hatred in a new born baby, it's put there by parents & grandparents.

I have never heard him sing actually?

I guess that its in the same way that most mags that hailed Nolan and one of the best midfielders in the EPl and championed his push for an England call up last season (especially after the derby games) are the same ones now so blase about him leaving. Nolan's departure is a huge blow to your managers aspirations, as he isn't in control of ANY players sales currently and seems to say one thing one week and another the next when his lord and master tells him - ie the Carroll deal.

As for Demba Ba I have never been very keen on him at SAFC after a good friend and season ticket holder at the Boleyn Ground told me he was a disruptive influence, petulant and not all that despite scoring 7 times in 12 games and at £65k+ per week, a huge signing on fee and extortionate agents fee I'm happy we were not interested in the end. If we ever actually were.

Where do you get this 65k a week from. It's above our wage cap for one and do you really think Ashley.....the tightest billionaire on the planet would shell that much in wages out for him because I don't think he would.

Its a well published figure in the papers and my W Ham season ticket holder is assured thats the wage he was on at W Ham.

Why would he move for less? Ashley has got money for Nolan and sees a free player in return. For him its another £2m or so in the bank.

We wouldn't pay that for any player under this board, not a chance, not when our plans are common knowledge for everyone. And I seriously doubt he was on that at west ham judging by their financial situation.
