We are going to have to make sure we do give away any free kicks or corners against Liverpool in the first 10 mins !!!!

One thing for sure, that performance today will get the fans right behind the Team on Wednesday.

The issue will be fitness vs. more changes to the team.

I'd be inclined to go for:
    Stek
    Riether - Heitinga - Burn - Riise
    Dejagah - Sidwell - Kvist - Richardson
    Holtby
    Mitroglou (or Tankovic again)

But the issue will be fitness. Do we need to rest Riise, move Richardson to left back and start Tunnicliffe on the left? Do we rest Sidwell and give the start to Parker? Does Hangeland return in place of Heitinga?

We need to start establishing our team and try to gain some consistency. If we could grab a point or a single goal loss against Liverpool, I think we can build some momentum into the crucial game at West Brom.

It will be interesting to see how Rene approaches this one - it's either going to be a manic opening 20 with both teams attacking or we'll sit back and try absorb the pressure. Not sure which would be the most effective - I've not a scooby what his starting XI will be, he's flummoxed me for the past few games.

After a performance like yesterday, I think we should change as little as possible. If Mitroglou is fit, he might start, and I'd find room for Karagounis, probably at the expense of Tankovic and Tunnicliffe. Does anyone know if Tankovic had picked up an injury? If Rene took him off as a tactical move, it's hard to see why (although it's also hard to argue with the outcome, given the Fergie-time goal).

    ........................Stek.....................

    ....Reither...Heitinga...Burn...Riise....

    ........................Kvist....................

    ..............Karagounis...Sidwell.........

    Holtby...........................Richardson

    ....................Mitroglou..................
    .................(or Tankovic)...............

    Captain's team formation looks good.

I think I heard that picked up a knock that's why the change.

If we are going to sit deep and absorb the pressure to counter-attack, Mitroglou is the best option we have. Him and Holtby will be great at that.

I do not think we are going to have 11 playing week in and out... probably 6-7 and then the rest depending on the opponent.

This may well be correct. Even so, I think the best way to build on yesterday's result and performance is to include as many of the same starting eleven as we can. It's tough on Tunnicliffe and Tankovic if they are left out, but they'll both be in and around the first team in coming weeks.

Yeah the tank picked up a slight knock according to the commentary I was listening to on the Internet.

Think Tank picked up a knock but could see the logic tactic wise, we were one up the longer it went on the more united would have to come forward and play a higher line at the back and Bent has more chance of getting in behind on the counter or a clearance up field

Not convinced The Tank had a knock and think the change was pre-planned. Whether it was tactical or (hopefully not) to keep Bent sweet it worked because of the equaliser. But for no other reason; Bent was ineffectual up to that point.

The hope is that Kostas will be ready soon but that is still in doubt. How come all our big money signings arrive with injuries and take a few weeks before they're available - Marlet, Johnson, Ruiz and now Mitroglou?

There's got to be a pun with think tank in it.

The latest government think tank think tank could be the latest in a number of good young players at Fulham!

It could be worse - look at Arsenal's January dealings this year.

Maybe it's just meth talking, but I thought I saw the boys having fun out there Sunday. I don't know what got into them, but I hope it continues. Play the same group as Sunday, Tank included. Whichever team has the most fun wins.

Breaking news that the Club are considering postponing the game if the tube strike goes ahead. Having hoped it would be averted, simply on selfish reasons of getting to and from the Cottage, I am now sincerely hoping the strike happens. The extra time in preparing and not being forced to rotate players for the West Brom match would be a Godsend.

Can we postpone a game because of a tube strike? The club are saying they might not be able to guarantee enough safety staff for the game. Why can the staff not get to the stadium by bus or taxi? We had a game last Tuesday at Craven Cottage during the tube strike and nothing was said. This sounds like the club wanting extra time to recover after the United game.

Can't help but think we'll need more safety staff for a packed Liverpool game than a ghost town Sheffield United game. The cynic in me, however, agrees that it is probably a delaying tactic.

Tell your ****ing club to put its hand in their pockets and hire cabs for the security staff! Even those tight arses at Arsenal are not considering calling the match off!!!!!

Because of people like you the club can't make sure that the rest will be safe.
