We were always going to lose a few games this year. The team is just not the type that isn't going to screw up at some point. I have been pleased how well we have won the games we are "supposed" to win though. We are going to need a bit of luck to get a trophy, no doubt at all. We have a lot of young players and a team not used to winning. We are going to need City and Chelsea to screw up, but so far they seem more than happy to oblige. It does make me laugh though that in a week, it has gone from City being certain to win, to Chelsea being certain to win, without any sort of shame from the pundits.
LFC fan here [an old one!] - I would like us to win the league but [in the words of every pundit everywhere] it's a big ask. Failing us winning it, I would prefer you over city or Chelsea Great game at the weekend - it was just our turn to win this fixture.
I expected us to lose at the weekend and I expect the same in the cup game - we couldn't do it twice ...... could we Fair play for answering me and good luck for the season
I have the horrible feeling we'll get a draw and face a return trip to Anfield. That would be disastrous as far as Arsenal are concerned.
I don't like predicting scores because I'm usually wrong. Neither of us need a long drawn out fixture and we don't have a great record at the Emirates so I'd say you're favourites. I quite like Wenger so if we get knocked out I'd like to see you lift it
Fair enough. If we got knocked out, I would say Liverpool have a great chance of winning it too. If we are going to lose this, I'd rather lose it in one rather than two. We don't have the squad for another fixture.
