Being at home will give us a lot of confidence. We've been strong there so far this season and United have yet to do anything against a side even remotely good so far this year. Gives me hope. We'll see.
With the way things have gone this season, you'd have to say Arsenal will win. But we have a strong record against you guys, and it appears Arsenal struggle to win the big games. I'm hopeful we can get something, but we will see. What ever happens il be hoping you guys win the title, as your the lesser of 4 evils to me, though my heads telling me it will be Chelsea
You keep delving into the past, the strong record utd had against the Gooners was under Lord Buckfast, you are now managed by a rank amateur that has a strong record of losing against Arsenal. Just saying like.
It's going to be tricky. The key to winning these tight big games is all about taking your chances. Unfortunately for us Giroud lacks that efficiency in front of goal. It'll be a close game.
As Piskie says, this one has suddenly become a key game, and if we lose, it could really unravel our good season. For me Manure are there for the taking but our confidence is a little low and our key man Ozil, is way off form. What I find worrying is our response against Liverpool. We struggled to create anything major all second half and its clear to see that Walcott and Ramsey are starting to look like big misses (esp Walcott). But being at home will give us added confidence and the players could just put it down to a blip. I would drop Ozil to the bench and play Cazorla, Rosicky and Arteta in the middle. We really can't afford to carry players at this stage of the season and Ozil is clearly struggling for form at the moment. The quicker we have Ramsey and Flamini the better. A win is a must for us.
I think they'd already won the league by that game? The last win I can remember before that, Adebayor scored the winner
Our last win at OT was in 2006 when Fabregas robbed C.Ron and put Ade through who scored. We were scintillating that day. We've beaten them a few times at the Emirates since, the late Henry winner in 2007 and the Nasri double in the 2008/09 season being the only two examples I think. They'd not won the league when we beat them with the Ramsey winner.
I would love a draw but if we are to be ambitious and look up the league then I'd have to go for a Utd win if I was pushed. I feel ashamed.
I'll take a 1-0 defeat now... United are playing **** and according to our fans on our board it looks that Moyes is going to be sacked soon...so fill your boots...
the biggest danger is that Wenger will treat them as EPL champions and not the mid table , 70 crosses and one point , dross which they actually are . THAT will be a disaster . Load of bollox. When a team is on its knees , you kick the life out of it , you dont show it respect that it does not deserve . LOSING MENTALITY ! They come here and we thrash them ...THATS the attitude i want to see from the players , FROM THE KICK OFF , not after we are one down . cometh the hour , cometh the men . ?
This is what my fear is and if it does happen, then it only confirms manure has some type of psychological hold over us. We really should beat manure in all honesty, as they are playing quite poorly at the moment. They may have been unlucky in some moments against Fulham, but Fulham are comfortably one of the worst PL teams and should have been beaten. As I said, this has become a key game for us to pick ourselves up and a win would show proper intent for the title. Anything other than a win will only dent our confidence further.
