    You taking the piss?

The most prestigious **** we could talk into coming would be Eric Black or some ****.

There hasn't been a better Celtic manager in my lifetime - Stein left when I was about 1 - in that time, we've had.

    McNeill
    Hay
    McNeill again
    Brady
    Connor
    Macari
    Burns
    Stark
    Jansen
    Venglos
    Barnes
    Dalglish
    O'Neill
    Strachan
    Mowbray

Only the ones in bold get pass marks of any kind and only Strachan is in any way a contender for being Lennon's equal. Jansen only stayed for one season and O'Neill left us with a load of bankrupting benchwarmers in his old pals' act.

I think if a majority want Lennon out, maybe we don't deserve a good manager.

Harsh that PL and Park getting credit few years back for Kayal, Izzy, Ki, Wanyama, Hooper etc and now Lennon is getting stick for the poor signings!!

I am not happy that he refuses to alter tactics mid game, unfit first teamers coming straight in to the team when the replacements have done well but the sack is way ott!

If they are worthy of praise for making good signings then they are equally open to criticism for our latest signings (VVD excepted).

Peter Lawwell needs to spend less time making childish soundbites and more time investing in the squad properly.

My point ST, was that Lennon did not receive the praise the time we signed said players, it was our scouting system and Lawwell who got the plaudits for these shrewd buys.

Now some signings haven't worked out or we bought Griffiths instead of a £6m striker, Lennon is getting the flak for it.

My gripe aint that he signed them - in fact i'd almost go so far as to say he didnt sign them - its that he wont play them.

Boerigter has had his injury problems so fair enough, but Biton, Rogic, Pukki, Balde - why arent they getting any game time? That is down to Lennon

Rogic is getting rave reviews everytime he plays an international - yet cant get a start for Celtic over Charlie Mulgrew? Sumert not right there

I agree Anport, I also think playing Commons in that 10 role is the cause of alot of our problems. The system is setup for him to be the focal point but he lacks a killer pass or urgency to play that role against good opposition in the CL or when we are faced with a team who put everyone behind the ball.

His goals have come about as he has a great strike from distance and goals inside the box are due to Stokes pulling defenders away and his late run meaning he is unmarked or has room for a shot.

He was given that role in the CL last year simply to have a man near to Xavi, Pirlo to pressure them. Lennon just seems to have stuck with it ever since, I suppose the amount of goals he has scored shows it has been ok in the league

Peter Lawwell holds the cash so any new manager would have to be a yes man too

Lennon did play attractive just can't get enough football, but it was mostly when we we chasing/underdogs

He thrives as a "war time" manager and so do the players under him...its peacetime now, until a resurgent Aberdeen or Dundee Utd come back and Lennon, I believe, needs to chase a fight as badly as Custer did, to thrive.

He won't get that from these peaceful injuns so it'll be either a fight with the press and the fans or he may walk away

    I think he will walk

Keep him until newco get into the Premier League - beat them easily (just so we can see the beel that Lennon elicits), then let him go. What's the point in getting a new manager now? we win the league by default even if the manager is ****e but run the risk of getting pumped out of European qualifying by Strachanesque naivety from a new manager.

Oneils team got robbed of the last 16, and they were a team who you fancied to beat anyone in Europe at home, was the best Celtic team ill ever see by a country mile. Unlucky to bump into a freak manager sitting on a Champions League winning squad or we might have won a European Trophy, albeit the wee cup, but we already have the Big One so would still have been nice.
