MON achieved the treble with the most expensive Celtic squad assembled in history so not sure what your point is there. As for the bit about the cost of our current squad and that of the other teams, surely the fact that we are 21 points ahead and unbeaten in the league highlights that gulf? What a load of absolute ****ing ****e. I can only assume that's a piss-poor wind-up.
First part - he was up against a team that was a genuine title and cup challenger in Rangers so it was an achievement. Lennon has failed to do it despite having more resources than every other team in Scotland put together. Not winning a treble is like Usain Bolt failing to win a 100m race against one-legged midgets. Second part, Lennon's a torn faced ****.
Yes but Moyes is not your average ****wit. And he has clubs with just as much financial clout to contend with.
Naw, it isnae. This aiming for trebles pish actually annoys me. If a treble is some sort of target, it's a season-long target that can be lost IN ONE GAME. According to the transfermrkt website, Sutton and Hartson (our two most expensive signings ever) cost us over £16m (I remember it being £6m a head each but there you go). If we were able to buy an ex-record-transfer striker from Chelsea and an ex-Arsenal international striker this season, we'd now all be beeling that we didn't get to the last 16. Perspective, man. If Lennon walks, we won't get a good manager - it'll be Coyle, McNamara (good but not ready), Jimmy C, Terry Butcher or some other heap of ****e. Lennon won't have trouble finding a club if he walks - we'll have trouble replacing him.
Ifs, buts etc. I don't see many clubs beating a path to the club's door to get Lennon. Plenty of diddy EPL clubs have sacked their managers in the past few months and not one of them have called on Lennon's services. We'll have no problem replacing him.
I'm not disagreeing with you entirely but we spent about £7m on Boerigter, Balde and Pukki. £7m and their wages combined could have bought 1 good player - instead we have 3 that we may struggle to give away......granted I think Pukki can play if paired with a decent striker
What an ott reaction to one game. Are we going to start sacking the manager everytime we lose a game?
As I already stated on this thread at least three times the only thing we have to look forward to is cup finals and the CL. Apart from a couple of decent performances in the first couple of games in the CL we've been pish this season. Bottom of our group, pumped out the League Cup by Morton and papped out the Scottish Cup at home to Aberdeen with a performance that was as flat as Medro's foreheid.
I told you to stop embarrassing yerself If you hate Lennon that much you could always stay away. oh wait....
