United fans and Directors must be sick and tired of hearing this oft quote from Moyes after yet another dissapointing result:

" I don't know what more we could have done to win the game"

That, for me is everything in a nutshell. Moyes is completely out of his depth and his players know it, he also has players that are quite clearly wrapping him round their collective fingers. People often quote that "You have no inside knowledge so who would you know" - well, Football is not that difficult to work out, it is clear to all outside of Man United circles that this is not going to work, at first it was extremely funny to see a team that has totally dominated with disdain for over 20 years become so average. Now, I'm not so sure that other fans are so happy.

This is now becoming embarrasing to the extreme and although United have needed a new midfield for the past 4 years, no one could ever have predicted this level of incompetence. If you keep him for much longer you will find that you will have 3/4 years without seriously challenging.

British footbal needs a strong United, for the ultimate sake of British football you must get rid quick - Ferguson has sold you one last puppy withthis guy and put you in emotional turmoil by his demand for you to give him time - This man in his own words - Doesn't know what more isrequired to win games.

They didn't deserve the 3 points, but they took their 1 opportunity & we spurned our chances, so we've only got ourselves to blame.

I didn't think much to them at all though & can't see them being strong enough to last the pace in the race for 4th.

United are within 1 bad result of being out of the race as well, so it really is yours for the taking now.

Hmmm. I've had too many seasons of disappointment to even dream of top 4 yet. You're not out of it and nor are the spuds or the mancs. Spuds have to come to Anfield, which is obviously a potential positive. Don't forget that in between the results against you lot and L'Arse, we had the awful WBA result <doh>

Nobody appears to want to apportion blame properly on this board. Sure Moyes is having a torrid time and certainly I for one am glad about it. But, there are 11 players on the pitch wearing United shirts. They are ostensibly professionals and are being paid shedloads of money for playing. Now with the 'quality' that United are supposed to have start having a go at them. No matter how Moyes sets them up, they are the ones on the pitch that can decide how they are going to play and Moyes can do nothing about that.

So all of those babies on the pitch are really taking the piss out of you United fans but your too blinkered to see it!

That's the case for every football manager, but that doesn't stop them carrying the can for their players performances, as that's how it works....

Moyes is setting them up, motivating them (or not), training them & then managing the in game decisions / tactical alterations.

Whilst the players shouldn't be immune from criticism & should rightly take their fair share of the blame, it was Moyes who instructed them to keep chucking the ball into the box from out wide for 90 minutes yesterday, when it was patently obvious that Fulham were comfortable defending them.......it was also him who put the hapless Valencia at RB again & yet again a crucial late goal was conceded from that flank.

At the same time Tobes, Rooney and RVP and Mata can see its not working and try other things. They are the ones who are supposed to have the skill and that has to be tactical as well.

This is why I know Moyes can turn things around, because the biggest problem is the defence, and during his time at Everton the one thing he did show, was that his teams were always tough to beat and defensively solid.

And as For not knowing how to use Mata, Mata was brought to create goals, and he's played 3 games and got an assist in all 3 games, so the stats don't really support that Mata hasn't been effective as he clearly has.

As for the tactics yesterday, they were forced to whip balls in because of how deep Fulham played, we are not Barcelona, and able to pass the ball through the eye of a needle. The tactics were as bad if not worse than West Ham played against your lot, but atleast our manager didn't come out and slate the opposition, like a sore loser with no class

    Worse than West Ham, brilliant.

Fergie was never a sore loser, nor did he slate the opposition did he?

Would that be the same Mata who's arguably the best No.10 in the league, who he stuffed out on the right wing Dave?

When Moyes gets it right, there will be no stopping United.

And all of this will have been a distant night mare... :)

He never slated a team that tactically out whit him through negative tactics, as that's how you expdlect teams down the bottom to play.

Big Sam and his Bolton side, where a real bogie side for us for a while, using those tactics but he always got on well with Big Sam:biggrin:

You know it is. Trying to tell me that a brief on-pitch conversation between those 3 could not have come up with a better plan? They aren't robots - merely acting like one!!

Tactically outwit <laugh>. The only reason West Ham got anything from that game was down to our own poor finishing. Fulham scored two goals last night, double the amount of SHOTS West Ham had vs us!

Everton were defensively solid but he didn't have the same level of expectation regarding the style of play at Everton as he does now. To be fair, Everton were playing some good stuff under him last year but generally speaking Everton have always been an industrious and well drilled team but certainly not one of the attacking potency of a top level European side or what is demanded at United.

Fact remains, you will not get a solid side whilst playing Mata, Rooney, Janujaz/Young behind RVP; especially with such immobile midfielder like Carrick, Fellaini and Cleverly. He's basically picking a load of gifted attacking midfields and hoping it clicks.

When we struggled earlier in the season and were shipping goals, Jose tightened up the defence and gradually released the forwards again. Its now reaping rewards as we are solid and attractive. Moyes is no Jose, a fact becoming more and more obvious by the day. Do you really want to let him loose on 50-100 million in the summer???!?!?
